Great app - one function missing to be perfect
This is a good app. Has data for the Great Lakes.
The one thing missing is the ability to create alert for wave sizes. It only allows for wind alerts. I really hope this feature gets added. I would be happy to pay more for that.

Wind and waves
Wind direction and strength are very accurate, but wave height is generally inaccurate. Overall a good app to refer to before heading out on the water.

What a great app
I always use this app to compare with the weather network. I find this to be more accurate for the Great Lakes. I confidently plan my travel on the big water with the wind chart on this app. Well done Windfinder!!

Quite accurate
One of my outdoor hobbies is very wind dependant. I use windfinder to check the weather before I Ieave the house....the forecasts are surprisingly accurate.

Perfect for sailing
As hard as it is to predict wind in the first place, this app does it the best and most days is spot on. The menu is easy to navigate and it's even easier to know how to prepare for a day out on the water, coming from a sailor. All in all, this app is great for any wind sports, and can be a real life facilotator.

Excellent for boating
We spend a lot of time on the water in the windy Canadian Prairies and I use this app every time prior to hitting the water. It’s highly accurate and really is a life saver when it comes to dangerous strong winds.
I recommend it to any boater anywhere.

Good data - lousy interface
I think the times are too hard to read. Why obscure them with some fancy (stupid, useless) graphics. I'm sure we all know how good your programmers are, we don't need to see their "skill" obscuring the reason we have your app....to see the data. Doesn't anyone look at the screen views your app produces?

The water level values are the same regardless of whether you select units of feet or meters.

Wind Finder a bust
Wind Finder is totally inaccurate and does not match any of the local weather stations.therefore it does not work and is a total waste of money.
I live on the BC coast up North and Holland Rock which is an automated weather station has never had 15 foot seas,very very rare. As well Holland Rock does not have the ability to measure wave height.

So just like everything else in today's world. It's a half truth or less.
I'm on Maui. I checked for days three locations before coming as to wind strength as it's expensive to travel with gear.
Windfinder says daily 12-20mph it's actually 10mph more on average. I mentioned this to locals and they told me "it's a joke always add at least 10mph to what they have listed"
So why not have a real time reading? Because that would require an effort and expense. Another scam online. Good thing I didn't pay off this. I can guess all by myself.

All it takes is one error
So... big windstorm last month, gusting to about 70. Windfinder said 7. Fail. Two other occasions, it appeared that the app was simply making up numbers.
How can I trust any info it gives me?
