Easy bird ID
Select size, colour, wind shape or a number of other categories to ID the bird you just saw easily and accurately. Also confuse your cat by playing recordings of various birds inside the house. ;)

Excellent app.
This is just what I was looking for.
It has a comprehensive list of search options.
Then it gives a list of possible birds from your entries. Choose one and it then gives a list of similar birds, which really helps.
The songs clips are great.
The map is easy to use.
I have tried others, and was not adverse to paying money for the right one, but this has all I need, and then some.

Fantastic Resource!
I recently moved to a rural area and there were 2 feeders plus a bird bath in the tree. The owner of the house suggested what seeds to buy and it’s been steady flow of birds since March. I downloaded the app last night and have already identified 3 birds that I hadn’t seen in the city.
Highly recommend this invaluable resource. 5 Stars!

Recently got this app and it’s excellent. I bought the Peterson Field Guide app a few years ago and now I’m using this free app way more. I really like pictures, information and ability to log my sightings!

App NO Longer Works in LANDSCAPE. The ipad is not a large, phone-less iPhone, nor is it a large iPod Touch. iPad users work in LANDSCAPE.

Fantastic!
I am loving this app, and have used it tremendously since moving to the country! It has been very easy to navigate thus far, and I just completed my first sighting with photo and location within a minute - while standing still enough to not disturb the birds just steps away from me! I hate new version so much I deleted
Funny how so-called improvements are always regressions. After using this app for >1 year, I succumbed to updatitis. Big mistake...I should have known better. Never again. The new version is so bad I have removed it.

It would be amazing to have the app translated in different languages (for bird names personnally). Maybe only the bird names in a language selection box on each bird page. Bird name are often so weirdly translated. Great app though!

Excellent!
This app is easy to use, and has helpful features to identify species. You can see if others have sighted the same species in your neighbourhood, which is very helpful when you’re unfamiliar with the species to see if they’re in the area. Terrific app. I would make a request: add “beak shape” and “leg type” to the characteristics of the bird identification feature. So many birds look similar except for beak and legs.

DISAPPOINTED!!! and miss the old version
Missing the Notable and Rare section. Sightings used to be up-to-date to the hour...no longer. Glitzy and techy but not as handy and useful as before.

Great horned owls!
Cool app! Just love being able to play the calls and identify my birds that way.
I used it to identify a pair of great horned owls in the woods behind my house. Their call is so distinctive I can say with certainty it was a pair without actually sighting them today! (My husband has seen them in daylight several times- always when I’m not there!!)

Works very well
Works great.. but sometimes bird identification helper returns zero even with only 1 category selected like ducks size.
Adding bird sightings would be good if you could ignore adding a custom sighing spot.

Long time user of Audubon Bird App
My husband and I have been long time users of this app, but recently have been left very disappointed by the redesign and abandonment of previous features. One of my favourite features was to be able to see recently spotted birds with the app, and this feature is no longer available because when I try to use it, the app completely freezes and shuts down. I was told by Audubon support that they have no intention of fixing it. They also have no Canada included in the app and have no intention of adding it. Shame that they have abandoned support in this way. I would suggest you look for other apps that have a desire to support long time users.

Crashes too often. Never crashed before update. Still does not recognize Canada in location settings so adding sightings is next to impossible. Deleted app. Not worth wasting your time on.

I just updated the app. Prior to the app i gave it 4 stars. Now i wish i could give it one but it will not allow me. I am in Canada and was able to search by region. I also can not find the advanced search. I am so disappointed as I have just recently found such interesest in birding. I wish I stayed true to my no update standards. The older version was great.

Give back the old version please
On my iPad, this update only works when I’m online. Otherwise, no photos, no sounds. I tried downloading the field guide for use offline, no luck after several tries of an hour or so. Audubon has not responded to my plea for help. And Canadian provinces have disappeared from the database. The old version was much more useful.

Database not downloading
I have the newest version of this app. The field guide database will not complete downloading. It just keeps spinning its wheels for an hour and does not complete. I have an iPhone X with IOS 11.4. Deleted the app rebooted the phone - still will no co operate. Any ideas?

Very buggy. I used the old app daily, great resource, the new app crashes, have had to load database several times, currently cannot view any pictures. what happened!

I loved this app. Used it daily but then they updated it to a less user friendly version. It’s too bad it was so good before. Now I am searching for a better birding app.

I used to love this app. The update is terribly disappointing. You can no longer filter a search by Canada provinces. The main screen graphics don’t fit or are distorted. The previous version was far superior.

Useless app
I refuse to use an app that requires me to log in before I can use it. If I bought the book I wouldn’t have to log in anywhere. They are just trying to phish for info. Deleted app now.

Disappointed
When the app changed over from Natureshare, I lost all my sightings. After contacting them about it, I was told it would be fixed with the latest update and it hasn’t.

Great but....
Great app, but what happened to Canada? There is no option to put Canadian provinces into the search parameters, even though the field guide maps do seem to have the data to support this feature.
Also, app tends to crash... a lot. Especially when in the middle of a search. I love this app for the detailed information, including bird calls, but I get so frustrated by the search parameters and the crashing that I use a different app instead. Too bad because it’s otherwise fantastic.

Location services don't work
It keeps telling me I'm in Vermont. Vermont is a nice state but I'm not there. I'd give it 4 stars but for that. Really annoying.
Just opened the latest version (2018). It's useless. The old version was clunky but this is awful.
