It chickens out on last ball
This is a nicely done game. There are two things that I would like to see changed.
1. The pockets are too big and not in correct proportion to the size of table. It’s way too easy to put the cue ball in a pocket after a shot.
2. The computer player is very well done however it seems to deliberately miss on the last few balls. If you play it till only the black remains, the computer player will deliberately fluff their shot to give you another chance.
I like this game a lot. Minor annoyances aside. Thanks.

Wish it worked
Downloaded the game and deleted it within a few minutes. It offers you a second cue ball to shoot? It does not take note of which player is shooting and randomly lets either player shoot. Just a waste of time.

The mechanics of regular pool are well done and the simplicity of the graphics is a real plus! But I really wish this game had player vs computer arcade function where each progressive table arranges balls into different shapes and arrangements.

How this app has more than 1 star is beyond me. It was on my phone 2 min before uninstalling. Shooting is too multi-stepped and not intuitive. There are better apps. This one is pure unthought-out trash

Good physics
This is quite a good pool table simulator! I used to play 8ball fairly seriously and this is an enjoyable nostalgia trip. The physics is realistic and I appreciate the absence of annoying music, silly over-complicated game mechanisms, etc. This is Just Pool and well done. I do wish the AI player were smarter though, it is barely competent and makes some idiotic shots. I win every game (yawn) which reduces the fun somewhat. It would be nice to have the option to dial up the opposition from Rookie to Shark in game settings. That is the only reason I with-held one star.
After some months of happy play I can say it’s addictive and has very few glitches. I do have a wish list though. 1) don’t ask the player every time before a new game, which opponent and what kind of game; let those settings persist unless user chooses to reset them, so user can just say “new game” and play again, and again, with same opponent and game rules. 2) allow some kind of cumulative score or match between players, like buck-a-ball 8ball, or number of games won/lost, or a point system. 3) offer a stricter game where you have to call every shot, not just the final 8 ball sink. The rules engine sometimes seems to stutter but over all this has become one of my all time favourite games. Never played 9ball before but it’s really fun.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Hours and hours of entertainment and no 2 games will ever be alike.

One minor flaw, I think.
Noticed that many times when the computer hits one of my balls first and doesn’t sink any balls, I do not get to set the cue ball before playing, but every time I hit one of the computer’s balls first, it always gets to place the cue ball before playing. Frustrating at times, but thanks for a great game.

I quite enjoy this game. Plus to date, it's never given me a problem.
Some optional pool games would be a nice touch though.
Update. They turned off the tilt to aim feature. Not pleased about that at all.

Really easy... almost too easy...
This game is great. Simple, yet great physics. It’s a very laid back game of Pool. Where you WILL win 87% of the time. Due to the AI making stupid shots across the table, when it has a ball hanging on the edge of a pocket. The AI seems to be more concerned with trying to block your shots, than making their own, to win. I’ve sharked the AI multiple times due to this.
