Problem with sending photos and videos
I wish that they would fix the photo and video compression because it does not send the full image without losing any data and which in results causes photos and videos to be fuzzy and low quality

SimpleX Chat advantages:

This protects the privacy of who you are communicating with, hiding it from SimpleX platform servers and from any observers.
- complete protection against spam and abuse: as you have no identifier on SimpleX platform, you cannot be contacted unless you share a one-time invitation link or an optional temporary user address.
- full ownership, control and security of your data: SimpleX stores all user data on client devices, the messages are only held temporarily on SimpleX relay servers until they are received.
- decentralized proxied peer-to-peer network: you can use SimpleX Chat via your own relay servers and still communicate with people using pre-configured or any other SimpleX relay servers.
- fully open-source code.
You can connect to anybody you know via link or scan QR code (in the video call or in person) and start sending messages instantly - no emails, phone numbers or passwords needed.
Your profile and contacts are only stored in the app on your device - relay servers do not have access to this information.
All messages are end-to-end encrypted using open-source quantum resistant double-ratchet protocol; the messages are delivered via relay servers using open-source SimpleX Messaging Protocol.

NICE…but…BAD…it’s ok!
not useful for impatient people (for example me) cuz bro i make a group and no one joins kinda upset and i dont know how to find a group to which is annoying but overall a really great app and people dont answer after like an hour..but still good app!

Works well
No issues setting up. Clear instructions. Got our group going within an hour. Installed even on an aged iphone. All we need is there: Secure Chat, Incognito, Group chat, video call, voice message. Thanks for the excellent contribution to privacy! Well done! And so needed going forward !

Early stages but privacy seems to be the focus
The privacy aspects of this app by design are key and a huge reason to use it. Unfortunately, you’ll have to put up with frequent app crashes, typing bugs, and other issues. I’m willing it put up with those problems for the benefits the app offers.

Not good enough
Notifications don’t appear despite having all settings correct.
Messages don’t even appear in the chat until I open the app (they just hang out in the ether somewhere I guess)….and since there are no notifications I have no idea that I need to check….not useful.
