No doubt, it is a good app for getting extra shifts. But, I personally don't believe on this app. Because I didn't get the payment of my last shift. I was trying to talk to them. But, they didn't provide me the money, moreover, they are not responding to my mails. So, be careful, before doing any shift from them.

Weird bug

I try to enter my emergency contact info but as i get to where i have to enter the phone number it gets stuck and i can back out or select the next (or previous) fill in. The app is good overall though, I am just stuck at a roadblock because of this bug.

Amazing app with great work gigs all around the week. One great thing you can pick shifts as per your availability, easy to use app with fantastic user interface. Recommended for job seekers. Thumbs up to the support team who are quick to be reached out.

After signing up there aren’t any job listings. I then requested deletion of my personal/confidential information as outlined in the privacy policy, that I supplied upon signup and haven’t heard confirmation from them as requested. Very concerning, unethical and probably not legal.

Great potential, Poor execution

I’ve been using this app for just over a year now and it has unfortunately not gotten better.

The notifications for work are always delayed.

There aren’t very many options for shifts.

And it glitches sometimes!

Gighound is a great place to find opportunities, a well oriented team that is very quick to respond to all inquires. As I have another job, Gighound has been very convenient in my situation and has given me the ability to make extra money all while working around an already busy schedule of mine. A bit disappointed

The app as a whole has been kind of a let down so far. They cancelled my shift the other day less than 16 hours before I was supposed to start and no reason was given. It would’ve been nice to at least get some sort of compensation for the last minute cancel, as I could’ve booked work through my other job at the time. Also, I find that they often make shifts available too close to the shift start time sometimes…doesn’t give much time for preparation, although that might be the fault of the companies they work with and not them. Aside from that, there seems to be a limited amount/variety of jobs in my area.

A Temp Agency App?

Using the word “Gig” to name this App and its business model is wrong. All I can see is minimum wage jobs (shifts) or near that, 5 or 6 hours, rarely 8 and mostly unloading, loading trucks. There seem to be a lack of available jobs or shift for anything that would require any skills, hence higher rates.

A Gig would not take taxes from your pay, it would be up to you to do that on your own, considering that one has to purchase gloves, safety apparel, transportation cost and other things to do these jobs, without any opportunity to write them off as an expense.

I guess if the idea is to have some companies avoid hiring people for a decent wage or full time and take a cut from desperate people then the App fulfills it’s goal, barely.

They deduct vacation pay.

They don't expect you to withdraw your vacation pay. They don't have any features on the app to withdraw it. Gighound is day labour, so there are no set vacations. Very very scummy.

A hidden gem!

I started using GigHounda for gigs for almost a month, I am a person with disabilities and the Buisness though it would be ok discriminate me. Unlike other mobile gigs platforms, GigHound had supported me during these shifts, and I felt very safe working with GigHound, it’s a hidden gem! The costumer service experience is a top notch, specially with Matty.

I use it for my days off and it’s great. I love the gigs and I love the rank system for earning a raise. I just wish you could change your profile picture. I didn’t know the picture I took to confirm my identity was going to be used for my profile. Please guys I hate that picture!!

So I would just like to say this app is amazing and a good tool for making money and even finding employment! The staff is amazing for communication! I have personally been dealing with Mike and his service is beyond great!

Just like anything if you put in your effort and actually show up for your shifts this is an app that will work for you! They will keep you busy! They have been such a big help for me especially in between working side jobs and they have even landed me with some amazing employment!!

I would highly recommend trying this app out!

I do not recommande you this app, they can bann you if you don’t show up in time but where there is a late payment they will just say (as an employer we have the right to pay you within 2 weeks) double standards, beside they don’t pay good at all much work with minimum wage
