The latest in the series from Teach Your Monster, ‘Reading for Fun’ is designed with experts from Roehampton University to get kids reading more, boost their confidence and inspire a lifelong love of reading.
Customise your monster with hundreds of items, make friends with colourful characters and collect over 70 brilliant free ebooks (from Usborne, Okido and more) to add to your monster’s bookshelf.
The game encourages children of all ages to read for pleasure, helping them build empathy by putting themselves in different characters' shoes. Perfect to play at home or school, alongside Teach Your Monster to Read 1,2,3 or on its own.
Every interaction involves reading, from following signposts and checking the village noticeboard to reading aloud with librarian Goldspear. The books you discover will help you bake delicious cakes, make the villagers laugh and even find treasure.
It’s up to you to choose what to explore and when. But hurry, the villagers need your help. Your monster must use all its wisdom, skills and bravery to stop the book-eating goblin causing chaos in the village and eating all the books!

Make your own monster and collect hundreds of items. Visit the costume-seller to buy clothes and hats with the stars you’ve collected. Go for a new look using the magic magic in your monster’s house. There are hours and hours of fun, whilst you read along the way.

Enjoy: Play in a world of reading. There’s a whole village to explore, with reading woven into it.
Achieve: Complete jobs to get rewarded with books for your monster’s bookshelf.

Understanding: Solve challenges and follow the story as it unfolds. Read recipes to make treats, read the delivery instructions to deliver books and go on quests to deal with the book-eating goblin.
Preferences: Discover new authors, poems, stories and series of children’s books that you’ll love.
