Description

NetGalley Shelf is a reading and listening app for NetGalley members. NetGalley helps publishers and authors promote digital review copies and audiobooks to book advocates and industry professionals. Publishers make digital review copies and audiobooks available for the NetGalley community to discover, request, read, and review.
NetGalley does not sell any content, including books or audiobooks. Each book on NetGalley is provided to specific members by the publisher directly, at no cost to the NetGalley member. Books on the NetGalley site are used for review and promotional purposes only.
Users of the NetGalley Shelf app will need to register as NetGalley members on NetGalley.com or NetGalley.co.uk. Once a member is granted access to a book, it can be downloaded in the NetGalley Shelf app to read/listen, on or offline.
Once a book is downloaded, members can customize their reading experience -- including controls for adjusting the font and font size, options for night mode and different background colors, bookmarks, etc. Audiobooks that are downloaded can be listened to offline and have full controls to customize the listening experience -- including a sleep timer, the ability to change the playback speed, and easy ways to navigate to a different section of the audiobook.

Needs notes and ability to read on iPad

I can only download it on my phone instead of my iPad, which is a shame because I really dislike reading on my phone and much prefer a larger surface.
I also wish there was a place to write notes. What is the point of having an app to review books if I cannot take notes on it?

Hard to scroll and stay on the same page

The app glitches and jumps pages all the time which makes it hard to read uninterrupted.
