Connor buy a Segway
Junk. Have for two weeks, used once and now it won’t connect. Error code, won’t rest after both hard restart options. Bluetooth shows on G2 screen but won’t connect to app, deleted app, reinstalled and restarted phone, nothing works. My wife’s G2 works just fine. Segway has terrible support and never likes to accept fault, always user error.

Last update broken
Last app update has broken the connection with my scooter. I can search de scooter and when I click on it, nothing happens. I cannot manage my scooter setting’s anymore.

Amazing App!
Amazing App that really lets me control my scooter my way. I do wish that locking my wheel meant it was actually locked and not just resistant to move. I also wish that when locked that the scooter would off an alarm when touched. That way if anyone tries to steal it there would be attention brought to it. I also wish that the scooter could only be controlled using the app such as you do when using city scooters that are available for renting. Otherwise this app is mighty fine and I love how it work allows me to customize my scooter to my needs.

The app upgraded and now I can’t login with my known and previously working password. My login and password won’t even work on the website now and the website won’t send me a password reset ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . I thought the name “Segway” was going to be seamless but…

GPS became a straight line after record
Everything is fine while recording on background. The route is what I rode. I confirmed to save and it became a straight line half way. No idea how it happens but it didn’t save the correct route.

Useful; can be made even better.
This app is useful for monitoring the charging process from another room, and for tailoring a few vehicle settings.
The regulations where I live state that personal electric vehicles shall not be capable of exceeding 24 kph on a level surface. The problem is that the Segway Ninebot Max has a factory-set upper speed limit of 25 kph and therefore it is not in compliance with local regulations.
It would be great if the app enabled the owner to reduce the vehicle's upper speed limit to bring it into compliance with local regulations.

The 5 stars is more for the scooter then it is for the app. Don’t get me wrong it’s pretty cool that you can change the ground lights and control the strength of the break and record your rides too. But I feel like there could be more done with the app too. Like it’s just missing the cheery kind of scenario.
There is definitely no doubt about it tho; for being 38 and never having a driver’s license by choice. My Ninebot Kick has been a total game changer in my life since May2022

The app looks actually so outdated and the layout is completely illogical. The first intro video literally said nothing about the left handbrake controls. Would like to see Segway revamp this app and their approach. Like how about built in GPS or cellular functions? Or at least when your using the dash view during a ride use the Google Maps or Apple Maps api and let us search places otherwise when we need directions we’re going out of app.

The app is great but i have one small issue, its that it requires wifi, but only to open the app and connect the scooter
Detailed review:
i would under stand that for the map but last night i was coming home from my work and wanted a snack so i stoped at the gas station to pick something up and put the scooter on lock mode went it and came back out. I then try to unlock it and then realize im not connected to the scooter anymore so i try to reconnect and it just kept saying no internet connection. So now im standing there carrying this scooter close as i could to the closest free wifi luckily it wasn't far. But what annoys me most is the app works as long as your connected to wifi when u first open the app then u can go as long as you want as long as you dont force close the app, for example i take this out at night with my buddies and i connect to the app when i first leave my house and were good for hours as long as my phones near or we dont shut it off and i can still use the record my run and look at the map, lock the scooter and adjust the recharge ability but if i loose connection to the scooter or turn it off i can no longer access it.

Back light option. Great scooter!
I have a Ninebot Max GP30 and I love it. No problems to date.
My question is why can’t the user have the option to have the back light stay lit when you turn the front light on. Why do I have to go into the app to select keep the back light on option. When I have the front light on it means the back light should be on as well. Visibility and safety.

What I’d like to see done
I have the Ninebot ES2 and I love it. What I’d like to see done is an update that allows us to lock the scooter and be able to turn off the scooter, then if it’s taken while off we’re notified by our phone and the scooter remains locked whether it’s off or on.

On iOS Bluetooth will disconnect never let you past the initial safety video. It’s a known issue they don’t bother to fix. Lowest stars possible.

I bought this brand new from the store and the app is out of date so I can’t even use this product.
They require version 5.3 which only exists in China.
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT, it’s not supported in North America.

Constantly messes up
Not that good. While it is useful for changing the settings in the scooter the mapping function often messes up. Failed to be mapping when you think it is. If the scooter Bluetooth connection times out the the mapping is discontinued even if you reconnect. The app tells me to do tasks but I have not the first clue how to go about doing them. So all in all could be greatly improved.

Does not connect, needs more investment from ninebot
The app consistently fails to connect to my new scooter by Bluetooth. I need to search and add as a new scooter every time when. Some of the text in the error message is not written in English, which is just rude when you are trying to figure out what is going wrong and trying to fix it. As locking the scooter is a key part of using the otherwise excellent scooter, ninebot needs to invest more time in creating a higher quality and more reliable app. Scooter is 9/10, app is 1/10 for me.

Decent app
I’d like to have dark mode on this app. A lot of it uses white background which can be fatiguing the eyes. It would be nice to be allowed to edit the max speed for the 3 modes. I.e. eco set to 10 km/h, drive to 20 km/h, and sport to 30km/h. It would also be nice to have the widget allow to quick “start recording” and view the stats as on the dashboard with speed, mileage, and battery life.

Crash and beeps
This latest update made my scooter have a serious issue! Now error msg when turn on and beeps constantly tried to factory reset but no go ! I do have extra battery this is the issue for the update! It stopped beeping when I removed battery. It was fine before the update. Please roll back update

every new change of the app breaks something .. previous versions allowed you to set the charging threshold of the charge.. now separate sections for internal battery and external battery are gone..
there also is no user guide for the app itself

I have 3 ninebot scooters so far and very pleased with all
first e scooter I had was last summer and prob the only one available in store in st. john's nl at the time not a ninebot a all terrain 8 inch tire gravity blade, It was my first experience with one so i thought it was the sheet, the bees knees.. then this year I got the es1 on a great sale at canadian tire and wondered where it had been all my life.. it goes roughly the same speed as the non segway ninebot.. but just the design and sturdiness and smoothness of the es1 compared to the not ninebot I was amazed ... the platform is so thin no scraping over bumps the airless tires are actually smoother, i love the app ( hate that I need to use data even to just go for a ride while on the app once you spend ohhh over 2000$ maybe it could be free 😜) the second nine bot i got was a little strange its a " bird" ninebot es2, I got it at a fundraiser and we don't have bird or anything like it here in newfoundland but it was cool none the less i don't like that you can't fold it down and you can't connect to app out change any settings but i lt is still a very nice sturdy, well made scooter with most features the es1 has... the bird has the under glow which i love! Now this month i got the g30 max .. the most perfect amazing beautiful built to last gets me anywhere i have to go hasnt let me down yet i would recommend it to anyone as a main means of getting around in the nicer weather. the 10 inch wherls make it feel like you're gliding on a cloud every bump sends effortless, it goes so fast but i always feel safe, i even love how she purrs when you start to speed up the scooter makes such a nice ( but quiet) purr and you know you're basically flying ... if there were more stars i'd give 'em all for the g30 max . they have changed my life can't wait to see what is in there making with segway in the coming months!!

Can’t connect mini lite
It wants me to watch a 96 second video but it says Bluetooth disconnected before the video finishes so I can’t complete the setup.

Support won't even bother to understand your question
Not sure if support staff is even on Earth but they don't seem to even try to understand your question or can't translate English. If they did understand it, it's hard to explain why they kept pasting their scripted answers back to me. I'm done not only with this broken app but will recommend people don't buy from Segway if you expect any support.
