Crashes During Every Flight
Great app, but it crashes mid-flight every time I fly my Mavic Mini. I’ve tried it on iOS 13 and iOS 14.

Good thing is this app works with my DJI Mini.
Now as for editing content, this app is terrible- constantly freezes?!

Video toggle signal
Would be more intuitive if the signal that recording video has started was a simple colour change from red (no recording) to green (recording).
The change from a solid red circle to a red square to indicate recording active is not very intuitive.

Can’t count how many times the app has closed before I have completed any edits. I am giving up with it and finding an alternative.

Anytime i go to make an edit longer than 3 mins the app crashes, waisted about 7 hours of my time on edits that were deleted when the app crashed. 0/5 stars if i could

Cache using too much space!
Even after clearing the cache and setting it to 2gb the app is using 15gb!
The only way to fix it is to occasionally delete the app.

Great app but needs an update
Compared to the other apps I used for DJI drones, I definitely enjoyed the simplicity of this one. Just needs a few tweaks and fixes to improve the app.
For starters, using a template and editing the video causes the template to only show the last 2 seconds of the video. Please fix this. And while you’re at it, an undo button would do wonders.

Video Templates issue
I just got my drone and I was trying to use the video create templates. If you try and edit a clip or even just cutting the end video the whole video is compromised. You end up not being able to grab the whole video if you try and edit it in any way. If you simply just go with what they’ve chosen in the clips, the templates work fine. Please fix the issue.

Editing with templates Bug
While the app is great, I have to give a low rating until this bug is fixed.
If I’m editing just using the templates rather than “pro” editing. Whenever I go into a specific clip to change what section I want in the video. I am no longer able to edit the clip. It just repetitively plays the ending clip of the video. I can recreate this issue 100% of the time and i also have screen recording of it if you need.

Suggestion
Would love it if the DJI fly app could view the obstacle avoidance cameras so we could see a rear view of the drone in a picture in picture window as we fly.
Also would love to see improved file transfer download speeds wirelessly from the drone to your phone. Unfortunately 5MBps is simply too slow and depending on the file size your drone’s battery is very likely to die by the time it finishes. PC transfer via cable isn’t much better sitting at around 28MBps.
Powering the drone via USBC well it transfers to pc could mitigate some unnecessary battery usage / drain well connected.
Would also like to see digital zoom added.

Portrait mode required for tablets PLEASE!
I would have given it a 4 to 5 stars if it weren’t for the fact that the app doesn’t have a portrait display mode, only landscape mode. The reason is that I would like to attach my iPad to the remote controller. The only way to do this is to rotate the iPad vertically and slide it into the remote controller’s extendable arms, which fits perfectly that way (although the rc cable that comes with the drone linking it to the iPad is too short by about 2 cms). Unfortunately, the display screen is now sideways. To rotate the entire contraption in order to view the iPad screen horizontally means that using the controller would be very awkward and the antennas would not be oriented properly anyway, therefore this method is impractical. Only solution for using a tablet attached to the controller is for DJI to update the app to offer a portrait mode selection.

No auto tracker for the Mavic Air 2. I cannot access it on video mode. Tried to make the square and no green active tracking mode.

I had a Tello drone for about a year and a half, and then saw the DJI Mini Mavic
Like any new tech it’s going to need time and feedback. After working as a Chef for 20 years perfection does not come easily , but the effort and customer service has been good so far .
It wasn’t long ago that we paid $200 for a crap RC helicopter!!

Updates. More problems
First fly was awesome then the big update and then the rear motor error. Today there’s another app update and now my videos won’t edit properly using the dji apps editing software. Really not liking this.

Can’t connect the drone anymore. So mad after the latest update now it goes to a screen where you choose the drone you have then noting. Can’t connect the damn drone no matter what I try.

Needs more options
Good app, fun to fly, but could use more options like setting altitude to imperial and distance/speed to metric or vice versa. Adding active tracking could also be nice, as attempting it with the quickshots is difficult sometimes

Apple lightning cable doenot work...
I bought a lightning cable (apple) for the drone (dji mavic mini) for the hdmi ouput. The app doesnot reconize the lightning cable and i cannot use my goggles (yuneec skyview).

It seems that DJI is always one step behind. App keeps crashing again on IOS 13.4. Probably they figure it out again in a few weeks (if you follow the forums you see that this happened several times before) Disappointed to see this happening again.

Toujours pas de mode VR !
Plus de 3 mois après sa sortie, les développeurs de DJI n’ont toujours pas ajouté la fonction VR qui permettrait de splitter en 2 l’image et de pouvoir voler en fpv avec de simples lunettes de réalité virtuelle! Cette fonction existe pourtant sur le Tello de conception beaucoup plus limitée.... C’est très decevant d’autant plus que DJI ne communique pas le code source pour que Litchi ou d’autres applications du genre puisse le proposer comme cela a été fait pour pratiquement tous les autres modèles de DjI. Comme la mavic mini n’est comptabile avec aucune autre lunettes de DJI, autant continuer a voler nos racing drones avec DjI Fpv air unit... aussi en HD.... mais avec des RTH beaucoup plus aléatoires;-)

Convenable, mais...
Comme plusieurs le mentionnent, une App plus adaptée à l’utilisation d’un iPad serait plus qu’agréable.
Des modes comme « active track » seraient très appréciés.
Mais la chose que j’aimerais le plus, serait la prise de vue en RAW.
Il est compréhensible que Dji essaye de protéger ces lignes de produits voisines, mais avec l’évolution des lois, en avoir moins serait peut-être judicieux. Le Spark n’est plus nécessaire, le Air plus vraiment non plus. Mini, Pro, Inspire... couvriraient amplement les besoins de 99% des consommateurs. Bref, des lignes vraiment distinctes où la grande différence est la taille du capteur, mais qui offrent toutes des fonctionnalités relativement similaires.

As others stated, please provide us with an iPad version ! I own several DJI products with the DJI Go 4 app for my iPads (both Pro and Mini) so it never crossed my mind DJI would not offer proper iPad support for the Mavic Mini with the Fly app version !

When Are You Releasing An IPad Version?
I use an iPad mini 4 as the mobile device on my Mavic Mini. For the most part, this app works, but still some glitches. After the latest app and firmware were released, I knew an upgrade of the battery firmware was necessary, but the iPhone version of the app on my iPad did not permit this. I had to use my iPhone 11 as the mobile device, which of course, did work. I know a lot of people who use iPads as their mobile devices because of the screen size. I think you should make the release of an iPad version a priority.

Missing Key Features
A good start but needs a serious upgrade. Simple software features like manual video controls and RAW still capture are inexcusably missing. Also the addition of Active track(some form already in the code base for quick shots) would put DJI so far ahead no one could catchup! Take a leaf out of Fuji’s book and add major features over time like they do and get committed customers for life.
