It’s ad free, which say what you will about source and motive. They have a lot of non China content which is high quality and ad free, so like give it a shot.

I love this station! I have relied solely on radio for 25 years and just got wifi and television 6 months ago. I was so happy to find CGTN as I can get a balanced report from around the globe. I quit trusting corporate western news networks quite awhile ago and even more so after the conflict in Ukraine. Western/ European networks are more into propaganda and I do flip through them to see what the latest propaganda is.
I am so grateful for the lack of commercials!!!
I love the wildlife footage and the Chinese History documentaries.
I am an informed Canadian and I have always loved Asian people no matter where in the world.
I admire how China has stepped up to the plate on the environment and peace initiatives.

The quality of the interviews is amazing
I just listened to the interview if Kai-Fu Lee on AI and this is a pure jewel of vision and compassion. This is journalism at its best — actually it is closer to the universe of philosophical essay than simple media.
