How do I use the Helix TV app?
Download the app to monitor connections to your home Wi-Fi network and manage your Internet connection wherever you are. Open the Helix Fi app on a mobile device and follow the instructions. They will guide you through using the app for the first time. It’s easy!
INTERESTING FEATURES
• Easily identify connected devices on your network thanks to the option to rename them. The app also notifies you of new connections. You can instantly cut off a device or user’s access to your Wi-Fi network, if needed.
• Control Internet usage for created user profiles. The Helix Fi app helps you better control the content your children are exposed to and foster focus or sleep by managing Internet access periods.
• Monitor usage for devices connected to your network and usage peaks. With this overview, you can easily retrieve or change your username and password. You can also quickly troubleshoot your Wi-Fi yourself, even remotely. For example, change port forwards to manage your coverage.

4 PRACTICAL SECTIONS
Overview: Retrieve your network name and password. Remotely check your Internet connection’s status and restart your Helix Fi gateway, as needed. Everything is done through this interface. You can also monitor data usage by checking usage overviews.
People: Create profiles, and add and delete users from your network. Manage Internet usage for those who have a profile, like your family members. For example, pause Internet access at bedtime on weekdays so everyone gets a good night’s sleep.
Connection: See details on your home Wi-Fi network and a list of connected devices wherever you are. If necessary, you can cut off Internet access from a device or user and monitor data usage. Usage overviews are available for the past 24 hours and the last 30 days. Troubleshoot connection or Wi-Fi network issues remotely or extend your coverage, as needed.
More options: Set your preferences in the app’s settings. Rest easy knowing data usage alerts will help you monitor Wi-Fi network usage.

Fiabilité discutable
Les données récoltées sur les profils sont très discutables. Parfois des périphériques apparaissent hors ligne alors qu’ils sont clairement utilisés et ce autant en temps réel qu’après plusieurs heures. Côté design de l’interface c’est OK mais manque de réactivité. On dirait plus un site web qu’une application c’est difficile à expliquer. Point positif la portion profil et assignation des périphérique est bien pensée, j’aime bien l’idée du profil Maison qui est intégré pour y associé tout ce qui n’est pas particulièrement à quelqu’un. En général par contre j’ai l’impression d’utiliser une application qui date de plusieurs années, rien de vraiment innovant par rapport à la compétition de ce genre d’application et rien qui se démarque.

When I try to put my email in sign in, half a keyboard appears on my iPad. I have deleted and added it back. App did work when I first got it in March. How about testing before realizing next time!

Great when you have internet...
Very user friendly app with convenient access to functions that other ISPs have yet to simplify. That said, it’s completely useless when the network goes down. Foremost, if the network is down and you don’t have an alternate source of internet, you can’t use the app at all, so there’s that. What would be great is if you could be directed to your network IP page where you could see the status of the network, reconfigure and reset your modem remotely etc. If you happen to have an alternative internet source, it will either ask you to sign in, take you through some whatless troubleshooting or ask you to set up a new device entirely, which is very helpful (not). Are the existing configurations not saved anywhere? Three stars for the cute frills and functionality when the network isn’t down, however much is left to be desired if network connectivity issues arise. If you aren’t into the frills, you can do without the app.

Application facile a utiliser (tres friendly).
Toutefois, la borne se désactive plusieurs fois !! Meme en cliquant sur verifier la connexion cela ne corrige pas le problème (alors que tout fonctionne correctement... lumiere blanche et brancher) on doit continuellement réactiver la borne. Tres fachant comme processus.
De plus, un peu decu que la borne soit seulement 2 bandes. Au nombre d’appareil que nous avons, un 3 bandes seraient bcp mieux !

Has potential
The app comes with a lot of good features. The notifications of new devices joining the network are pleasant and help give peace of mind
However the app could deliver more advanced options like configuring the router the same way you could when browsing 10.0.0.1
I know these advanced settings can cause issues if people who don’t know what they’re doing tend to mess with it. But adding more functionality to the app from the routers’ control centre would be beneficial.

J’ai acheté un pod parce qu’il y avait des interférences entre mon gateway et ma PlayStation. ça fonctionne très bien, le problème c’est qu’il se reconnecter constamment au gateway au lieu du pod. Aucune fonctionnalité pour lui dire de se connecter au pod seulement.

Ne fonctionne pas
L’application ne fonctionne jamais comme il faut. Meme avec la derniere version. L’application s’ouvre je clique sur le boutton du menu personnes ou appareils ou reseau. Elle charge avec l’icone ... et ensuite c’a me demande de reconfigurer une nouvelle borne.
Je le fais et la aussi pareil quand je clique sur l’un de ces bouton pareil.
Je suis avec Helix depuis 5 mois et c’a fontionné que le premier moisl’application.
J’espere cela aide les developpeurs pour ameliorer l’application et je vois d’autre client qui souffre de cela. Bonne journée

Problème de connexion avec la borne
Quand j’ouvre l’application, parfois c’est comme si je venais d’installer une nouvelle borne et ça me demande d’activer la borne. Il m’est donc impossible de réactiver les appareils mis en pauses ou bien d’en mettre en pause. J’ai ce problème avec l’appli installée sur 2 IPhone 7 différents avec IOS 13.4.1.
Et pourquoi il n’y a pas d’application pour MacBook?

Bonjour à vous. J’ai installé sur mon iPhone 11pro le logiciel McAfee security et activé la fonction Web sécurité qui active un VPN. Depuis ce temps, je ne suis plus capable d’accéder à l’application. Si je désactive cette fonction, tout fonctionne.

L’application est conviviale et facile à utiliser. J’ai par contre quelques suggestions pour l’améliorer.
-Création d’un compte “invité” avec un mot de passe différent, comme ça les 38 amis de mes enfants n’ont pas mon mot de passe de wi-fi
-Faire le test de vitesse directement sur l’app
-Qu’une autre personne puisse se connecter sur le compte d’un autre appareil, qu’on puisse créer un co-administrateur. Genre, mon conjoint pour qu’il puisse garder le contrôle du wi-fi en mon absence.
-Que le mot de passe de Helix Fi soit différent que celui de l’app Helix serait vraiment un must, parce que ça me tente pas vraiment que mes ados prennent le contrôle du wi-fi

Application bien pensée mais en pratique, ça se gâte un peu... lorsque je met mon terminal en pause pour contrôler l’usage de la télé, je suis incapable de redémarrer l’appareil par la suite... l’application me dit qu’elle éprouve des difficultés et résultat: la télé ne fonctionne pas!! Merci Hélix! Comme bien souvent, techno intéressante mais pas à point...

Missing some key options
It would be nice to be able to setup schedules per device instead of needing to create a profile. Being able to setup schedules instead of timed usage on a per device basis would provide much better control.
