It makes life more convenient when buying parking when it works. Every time I’ve used it now it’s bugged out on checkout. I have to close the app and restart it multiple times after hitting the pay button. I have to try and pay multiple times too. I hope it doesn’t charge me more than once. Please fix this, checking out is a critical featureeeee.

This must be Canada’s worst parking app. The developers have obviously never used it in real life to park a car.

You can have only one current session - that means only one car at a time, anywhere. So if I want to pay for another car at the same time in the same lot or another lot - I can’t.

If you choose the wrong vehicle by mistake - as I just did - you’re screwed!! You cannot cancel the wrong vehicle, you cannot change the vehicle and worst of all, even if you wanted to pay extra to park the correct vehicle - you can’t.

Long process to get the app, difficult to search, nearly impossible to end a session early so make sure you underpay and top up and be very very careful when entering your contact info because there are no verifications on the email so if you enter one letter wrong is a multi-email process with the company to reset it during which time you can’t park and you can’t make a new account.

This app costs more than the machine in the lot. And the app doesn’t work when your 3 stories underground. So when you make a purchase in app you have no way to know whether it was processed. I ended up buying a ticket from the machine, only to find out when I got to street level that this app charged me anyways. Just use the machine. This app is classic example of “fixing” a system that wasn’t broken in the first place and is nothing but a headache.

The app is kind of clunky and not very flexible in that you can’t change a reservation once it is made. Additionally their back end database corrupted my record and it has been almost two months working with them to get it resolved and it’s still not fixed. Seems like there is only one person doing support and probably only on a part time basis as it sometimes takes several weeks and 10 messages before you get a response. Unfortunately I have to use the app because that is the only option provided for at this preferred parking garage.

This app doesnt work in underground parking as you have no connection. There is no option of using the pay machine anymore since they were removed. The only option is to use the app which doesn’t work underground. It took me 15 minutes and multiple tries just to pay for parking. This is ridiculous. Stay away from this time wasting crap.

I have to agree with all of the other bad reviews. This app is slow & awkward & feel like avoiding lots using this service for the following reasons;

1) $50 preauthorization is terrible & overpriced.

2) can’t have multiple parking sessions at once.

3) can’t enter location code.

4) why should I use location services & consume my data to park.

5) multiple vehicles never default to primary vehicle thus slowing me down & causing errors.

6) can’t cancel if you make an error.

7) can’t print all receipts as one statement but as multiple pieces of paper. What a waste of paper & time.

Things that need reviewing:

1. $50.00 for a pre-auth is a bit much.

2. Confirmation button before purchasing!!! Spooked me the first time my parking went through right away.

3. Searching a lot. It has to be typed in the EXACT way it’s in their system? How do I know what you have in the system.

4. Having two cars in the same lot. Would be highly useful when I want to pay for a friend’s parking.

It’s just little things that would have made it a 5 star. Easy once you get a hang of it.

I paid for event parking. $35.00 for a hockey game. Apparently you still need to enter the the amount of hours you wish to park. Every other app will push your time to “lot close” but not Hang Tag. They will default to one hour and set your status to “expired” even though you dropped the money to park for the event. Their customer service will be good enough to refund you within a week or two. This app sucks. I’ll pay at the machine from now on.

Lots of issues with the functionality of this app. Searching for some lot names doesn’t return any results and no option to enter lot number instead. Day rates for some lots are not available so you have to go pay at the machine anyways. No place to save frequently used parking lots. Instead of being able to print a single page receipt summary you have to print out parking receipts one at a time.

Just FYI they will charge you a $50 preauthorization for their pay now parking. I would make sure you are ok with that. They will give you some explanation that if you go to their website the terms and conditions are outlined there. I’m personally not a fan of a parking app using a preauthorization. They aren’t a hotel or rental car company.
