Great for long distance calling to the US
I love having a second line for a lot of reasons, one being that I can call out to the US from Canada without getting charged overage fees by my provider (which are ridiculously high). Open phone is very reliable, easy to use and cutting edge. If there is a feature that clients will benefit from - the product developers will build it into open phone!

Good second number
Only 4 stars cause when texting sometimes it doesn’t show up what I texted unless I go back and go back into msg. Also it should be cheaper to add more Phone numbers not more expensive. Otherwise the service is decent and works clear on 3G calls.

Ported my number!
They ported my number from Telus with no problems in under 2 weeks. Very pleased.
My only suggestion is to add dark mode and Memoji support in future updates! :)

Zero security but great customer service
Be advised that there is neither password nor any way to delete messages. Shocking, yes? Instead of a password (if you log out), there is a pin code that is sent to your email address. And with no way to EVER delete your messages, this would not be the ideal app for anyone wishing security in communications. The kicker is that they used to have a password before October 2019. The ability to delete messages was done away with sometime over the last year.
I would have give it a single star we’re it not for the wonderful customer service. I had several questions and they were all answered promptly and helpfully.

Easy to use, can’t beat the price

Works okay, but lots of features are buggy
I have been using the app for a couple of months now. Bugs in the product that are making me consider switching to another option.
Pros: I was able to port my number over seamlessly (the process took about a month). And my caller ID shows up as my company name.
Cons: I am not able to record my own personalized voicemails, the clarity of the call is hit-or-miss, and get a lot of spam calls

Simple and efficient for personal/work
OpenPhone should be your "go to" provider to manage your personal and business numbers seamlessly and effortlessly. Setup was under 5 minutes and customer service was above and beyond what I expected. Highly recommended.

Savings of both time and money
This App Rocks. We ported over our office number from our land-line carrier. We are saving $280 dollars a month (business rate without a contract). We don’t have to be in the office to receive a call. I am so happy with this App! As a small business owner this is a perfect solution.

Super easy, super function, super service
So easy to dive right in - creating a new number and getting rolling with the service and features. Enough features to cover all the bases of what I need to do and more, but not too many to feel like I’m drowning in options or cluttered tools. I particularly appreciate the ‘business hours’ feature that allows me to set my working hours for each day of the week, which then automatically forwards calls to voicemail/app without disturbing me. Great for maintaining work/life balance. Can’t wait for the new desktop app to roll out so I can make/receive calls directly from my computer and desk without needing to use my phone. Daryna has been wonderfully responsive and supportive wi th questions and concerns. Just a stellar product and team here, and southwestern Ontario local for fellow Canadian small business startup support. A+’s all around.

I had my personal number on my email and biz site for the longest time and it's so hard to pick up random calls and not know which is biz and which is spam. OpenPhone really solved that. Also the entire design. Paradigm of the phone as an inbox is brilliant. Not to mention I use my OP number on websites and such when filling out forms and such. 🍻

Easy setup and priced right
Setup was a breeze, had a new 800 # up and running in a few minutes. The price is very reasonable compared to other options available and the availability of calls and text in one app is fantastic.

Crash and bugs
I got this app over a year ago and have tried multiple time to add other phone numbers by subscribing to higher plan but buggy app and crashes make it impossible. Now for a month I have not been able to use the app as it crashes and it’s my business phone number. Please fix the app and your features or let me port my number over to other provider.

Amazing app.
It’s really good. You don’t have to keep on buying credits, there’s only one option, to get an unlimited plan. It’s reasonably priced too, it’s 11$ a month. One request, is to notify the person when they get a text through the number.

Great app!
I am Canadian and travel a lot to Central America. Having a virtual Canadian number means I can call fwd my Can phone to the virtual number and, using cheap data, receive every incoming call free. I can also call home free. So far, reliable and works well on wifi. Recommend!

Super duper app
Love the app, use it as my daily phone call and messaging application.
It’s built in one which phone calls and conversations are easy to visualize.
I use this as I have unlimited internet and never received a dropped call or any issue with messaging.
Compared to other apps they have one good feature that makes them stand out but this app definitely has everything you’ll need and more!

Great So Far
I run a hedgehog rescue, and because we have a relatively large following on social media, I needed a new phone number to avoid getting calls from creepy people. I didn’t want my personal number on the website. This app was suggested to me by some people, along with other apps that aren’t Canadian-user-friendly. Of all the apps I looked through, this was the best one, and I can’t complain. Support helped me with my issues, and I can still receive calls and texts as needed. For only $12.50 a month, I can’t complain because it would be so much more, had I gotten another phone and line. Thank you, OpenPhone

My mother passed away on Wednesday, and we had a joint bank account. Because she passed, all of her accounts are locked, including ours. Because of this, I cannot access my funds to pay for this month, and by some extremely generous heart, my trial was extended a full month. That is absolute kindness at its finest. Best support ever
Customer service is excellent, very helpful, friendly and efficient.
I used to use Fongo, but it wasn’t reliable enough to do business. OpenPhone is a little more expensive but way, way more reliable and the UX is not even comparable to Fongo’s.
I kept my Fongo number and simply forward all calls to my OpenPhone number. That way I can keep my 2 numbers while enjoying OpenPhone reliability for all calls.
Only missing feature I think should be available: integration with iOS explorer, so we could click and call any phone number with OpenPhone (just as we can with WhatsApp, Skype, Fongo and Hangout). I hate having to copy/paste all numbers from the Web to OpenPhone dialer. Maybe in the next release (which will hopefully be released soon as the app hasn’t been updated in 5 months).

Easy and Versatile
What a great app! We use it to communicate to customers through call and in many cases text. Texting is such a convenient option for customers and no other major VOIP’s were offering the same flexibility and versatility that OpenPhone had.
Our OpenPhone rep Daryl was extremely helpful in guiding and pushing our other VOIP to port our numbers over.

Acts like dual sim
I got the iPhone before the dual sims came out and got OpenPhone to do it. Works great and I can answer my business phone differently than my personal phone. Once I a while person on the other end says it’s a bit choppy. I love how the calls, texts, and vms are all in the same thread. Customer support is amazing.
