Stopped working
This app is slow to respond at the best of times. Does not work at all with iPhone 12. Worked fine (slow) with my iPhone 7. Now the app fails to communicate with my car. Not very helpful! 😢

Good in general, but...
One thing i notice, not one reply from UVO on peoples comments, sad.
I have no problems starting my car, but yes, it takes about 2-3 minutes to start the car. Flashing hazards is anoying. Would be nice to star the heat warmer also. Since UVO comes included with the car, i like it. But after the 5 years i am not sure i would pay for this service with the quality it has right now. Will realy depend on the price.

Nice app but connectivity is poor
Using with Niro EV. Fairly well designed app but commands return a “server not available” error message 75% of the time. When it does work, it’s way too slow. Connection desperately needs improvement.

No idea what they did in version 1.29, but I am now able to......(dramatic pause).......START. MY. CAR. And it did so under 20 seconds.

Very slow USELESS SOFTWARE
1min 15 seconds to lock. My fault for forgetting. Thieves were in, lost sunglasses, inside tossed compartments and only moments after we left the van.
Doing any action from remote ie phone, works but it’s VERY SLOW. I can walk out and start it, lock it faster than by the ap. A remote start takes 1 - 2 minutes locking sometimes takes 5 minutes

Slowest app ever!!!
Bought a new Stinger and was really excited to start using the UVO intelligence app.
In this day and age, and with the amount of technology in this new vehicle , I expected the app to be much quicker. UVO offers great features but they’re so so slow. And many times I doesn’t work and tells me cannot connect to server.
When I use the remote start, it takes well over a minute to react. All said and done the app offers a lot of cool features but needs improvement.

Slow, frustrating app
Love Kia cars, but this app needs a full overhaul. It takes so long just to update itself so you see the current car’s status, and every time you want to do things remotely (eg. climate control), it takes so long to register. One time, we turned the climate on and cancelled it (and it showed as off on the app), but it must have kept going coz by the morning, the car won’t start - AND the app keeps giving error messages so you can’t figure out what’s going on. Kia needs to invest in a more responsive, user-friendly app. Or create a whole new one. Uvo isn’t it.

Unreliable and incredibly slow on the rare occasions it works
I live in the west side of Vancouver with good cell coverage where the car is parked and the chance the vehicle status has been updated in less than half a week is rare, because of that I often can’t even request a remote start. When I can make a request it usually fails. Pathetic performance. I pity anyone in a colder climate trying to use this.

A really bad experience so far
This app was one of the things I thought would be a great addition when I bought my Forte but it’s mostly useless. It takes forever to process an engine start and seems to have server issues every few weeks. Sometimes I’ll try to start my car and wait 5 minutes for it to process then it tells me to lock my doors before performing the remote start. I understand the safety aspect but other cars will lock the doors automatically for you before starting remotely. Overall a very poor experience with it.

Slow and lacks Widget
The app is quite slow when processing commands and transmitting them to the car and when you call up information from the car.
Furthermore, the app could use a Widget so that you could access your engine start options more quickly. Having to enter the app every time is annoying.

My 2021 Sportage takes FOREVER to respond to any UVO command. It takes about 2.5 minutes to lock the car and an additional 6-8 minutes to remotely start it. Unacceptable!! What is the point of this app when it creates more frustration than convenience??

Fix the command start
When I hit command start its always a gamble if my door are open or closed. Can you fix put a script to lock the door and than remote start if door aren’t looked.
If I remote start my car don’t make it longer to remote start than me going outside to start it your just making me lazy now haha !
Add I watch application and you have a better application
Specially if you can make the signal faster for the remote start.

This app is horrendous and incredibly slow at doing anything. If I was able to start my car with a button on the key fob rather than the app I wouldn’t be using it. Kia needs to step up their game and get a better app considering the price we pay for the vehicles.

UVO IS THE WORST
Bought a new Kia and I am using the UVO app. It takes 2-3 minutes before the app will open , then you have to put your password in to start the car and it takes another minute or 2 to start the car. Right now it is free but I understand when your free trial runs out you have to pay monthly for this service. If I had known this I would have bought a car without UVO and put my own car starter in where you don’t have all this hassle. It’s one thing to pay for a service if it works properly , I don’t understand why UVO can’t fix this problem. My previous vehicle started instantly from anywhere in the world ( off market car starter )

Such a great idea, poor execution
This is such an amazing idea, if it worked really well. I have to plan well ahead if I want to start my car etc. as I will need a few extra minutes while the app actually processes any kind of request. I wouldn’t have suggested they released this until they had it workable. For now, it’s just frustrating.

This app is not ready for prime time.
Struggles to connect, piteously slow, and only executes the command half the time. Kia should be embarrassed to have their brand attached to this.
Furthermore, after it accepts my Face ID to log in, it STILL requires a password to execute a command. Even my banking apps let me in with Face ID only. And once I enter my password and select a command, if I want to select another command afterward, I HAVE TO RE-ENTER MY PASSWORD. My God I hate everything about this app, it actually makes me want to sell my car.

Please fix flashing lights issue
I wish you would update the program so our vehicles hazard lights would not continuously flash when the car is started through the UVO app! This is annoying and disruptive to our neighbours. Please fix this problem.

Just had another App update. I still have the same comments. However since I have face recognition the password entry issues are less. This morning I couldn’t start my car cuz my password was incorrect with face recognition.🤔 Need to completely log out and try again. I want a keychain remote starter! My car is laughed at because of this app by 3 other car owners in my household!!
Needs lots of work!
- keep getting that it needs to authenticate user, start typing in password app opens before password completed
-keep getting incorrect PIN #. Number keyboard is large & I type slowly without errors, and still get request rejected & need to renter PIN
-Each request is painstaking slow. Faster to put on my boots, go outside & manually start my car. & when PIN number needs to be reentered... well why even bother remotely starting car, I’ll be leaving faster than the remote starts my car.
-on cloudy days, satellite communication is very fair.
-when there is an upgrade, app does not work until upgrade done. Once again, when in a rush, this just aggravates. Should get a warning. BTW I’m in “winter” and remote start every morning, so it’s not like I rarely use the app and I’m not on top of the updates.

Bonne idée, mais peu utile
L'application pourrait m'être utile, mais elle ne l'est généralement pas. Trop lourde et trop lente, je n'arrive pas à démarrer ma voiture assez rapidement, ou je perd patience à attendre de savoir si mes portes sont bien barrées sur le statut qui n'est jamais à jour (sans que je le demande). Il manque également les possibilités suivantes : prise en charge de Face ID ou l'emprunte, l'intégration aux widgets, l'intégration IFTTT pour programmer des démarrages, la fonction de réchauffement du volant et du banc (Sedona), la notification d'ouverture du toit ouvrant, la barure automatique des portes au démarrage, un système de notification fonctionnel (car je ne les vois pas dans le centre de notification).

Great foundation but needs a lot of work
By far the slowest app I’ve ever used, needs major improvements on the speed.
When starting the vehicle with the app the hazard lights flash non stop until you get in the vehicle, nothing like starting the car at 6am with 4 flashing lights to wake up the neighbourhood. Why?
Logs you out after 14 days with no Touch ID to log back in have to enter a password every time.
A simple task as locking or unlocking the doors takes over a minute.
App has great potential but needs some work.
