Great, up to date easy to use.
The one thing I can think of to complete the app is to add Chinook closure areas to the maps. The RCAs are shown but not the areas closed for orca or Chinook concerns.

Love the App so far, seems to have all the useful tools to help you learn and navigate. However I have discovered a couple simple details that would be handy like being able to check the tides. Enjoying it none the less...

Good Regulations
Nice to have accurate regs on the net! It would be better if the seasonal changes were identified ahead. For instance Chinook changes on July 15th but until that very day the changes are not communicated. This makes planning difficult. Overall easy to use.

Good but needs improvement
It’s great to have an app that updates fishing regs daily.
Finding fishing areas is easy.
Cons
- Maps showing Rockfish Conservation Areas are vague. Resolution is poor and they should be scaleable so you can enlarge
- Sub area closures aren’t particularly clear and can potentially lead to catch retention in areas where they aren’t allowed.

Troubleshooting
I was having trouble gaining access to the catch log. The support staff quickly identified where my mistake was and got me up and running. I was impressed that they contacted me only moments after I notified them of my problem which was later in the evening. Great service!

Needs a live GPS map with boundaries
This app is a good start and better than wading through multiple dfo notices, maps and retention charts etc. however what is really needed is a live, zoomable, gps enabled, google type map that shows my location in real time with fishing boundaries overlaid. I should then be able to see a detailed summary of what a I can or can not do in this area without having to click back through multiple summaries as the app currently requires. I should also be able to just click on any fishing boundary area on this map and see the same summary. See Chinook in area 29 as an example of multiple boundaries intersecting at a point with different/multiple regs in each area. If you really want to kick it up a notch have your phone sound an alarm if your boat drifts into a new area where the regs are different (easy to do in area 29).

Do not trust or you will be in court one day
This is a lie. official Regulations the app said.
April 22 2019 I went fishing for chinook salmon
As the app said two a day. Now I have a court day and am charged as its closed coast wide. I had updated the app that morning. I showed Dfo my app and that it was updated and it didn’t matter.

Juvenile license & Catch Log needed
Great App but if I could put in family juvenile licence and catch log data that would be a bonus. They do not have their own phones yet.

Good simple app-Even better if...
Should have the ability to add multiple licenses. For example, I was not able to manage my dependants licenses or catch with the app.

Just what I needed for checking latest fishing limits
This app finally makes it easier to find out excatly what the limits are for my fishing area in BC instead of browsing through endless number of fishing regulations and reports. You can even have a log of all your catches!
