Description
Add another level of fun and competition to your game with the free Garmin Golf app. Download it to your phone to compete with your friends and fellow golfers. Each round can take on a tournament feel on any of more than 40,000 courses worldwide.
Compete in weekly leaderboards on any golf course, or you can set up your own tournament event and invite multiple friends to compete. Players can also live chat with each other and post their results for others to see.
With the following devices, you simply upload your round through the Garmin Connect app on your phone or Garmin Express on your computer, and you can review leaderboards and stats in Garmin Golf:
· Approach golf watches: S2, S3, S4, S5, S6, S10, S20
· Approach golf bands: X10, X40
· Approach handheld models: G6, G7, G8, G10, G30
· Fitness watches: vívoactive, vívoactive HR, vívoactive 3, Forerunner 935

Golf gps does not function after only a few rounds. I do not play often. I replaced through Garmin once already but it happened again! Not recommended for golf!

App is great but...
App is great, but it went down for maintenance on July 23, was only supposed to be for 20 hours... it is now July 26th, neither my Garmin Golf or Garmin Connect app work properly anymore. Please fix this or be honest with down times. I’m highly disappointed.

Amazing App
I LOVE this app. Keeps track of my score and allows me to look over my shots after the rounds. I’ve even gone back to look at the course if I’ve played it the day before just to remind me of the layout.

Garmin S20
Watch has been very accurate. Really helps to make a club decision when between markers. Looking at app after my round and seeing my shots and distances is beneficial to see distances I am hitting my clubs and consistency with each one. Recommend downloading the app.

Too many missed shots
This review is more about the watch than this app I believe but they are closely related. Just got the S40 watch and have played 3 rounds so far. Not sure if it’s my swing type or the watch but I’ve noticed it misses capturing at least a dozen or more shots per round. In fact, it completely missed 3 of the 4 par 3s on my home course. The scorecard summary shows the score but there is no record of the details (ie: the map) available. Thought this would be a valuable feature to help me improve my game but given it is so unreliable, I find it pretty well useless. Too bad! I think paying a premium amount for a watch should assure it functions flawlessly.

G80 Approach
So far it’s been great. I needed the app to pair with the G80 approach to play virtual tournaments. It’s been a lot of fun. I live in Canada so I have only been able to play indoors off of mats. I have only been able to use the launch monitor for target practice and virtual rounds. The yardages from the G80 seem fairly accurate. It has made practicing a lot of fun.

S20
The S20 along with Garmin App. have been a very helpful tool to improve my golf game. The yardages have not been very accurate but they are consistently about 10 yards short of actual so I’ve adapted.
Occasionally the screen drops out of a game and I have to start watch again but only 2 times in as many months.
Size of the numbers is a bonus.

j’adore ce gps et cette application la seule petite ombre au tableau c’est que je ne peu pas combiner deux 9 trous pour en faire un 18 trous, je ne sais pas si cela a une incidence sur mon handicap mais ce serai bien si ça pouvait ce faire d’ici la saison prochaine. mis à part ça je n’a redire merci!

Garmin golf app
I have used the app to record my rounds fro my garmin approach and it works just fine.Have a better idea how far the woods and irons go for me.

Data inputted not displayed
I put every fairway shot on my score card but none show up on statistics on driving page. Sent in 6 requests for help and got ZERO replies. This app not really as good as they think but is.
Again no answer to questions or fixes. All lights on, but no one is home.
Useless Garmin team , asleep at the keyboard.

Good try needs more work
Great for scoring but in combination with watch leaves a lot of course information out. On the courses I’ve played it gives lay up distances that seem to have nothing to do with the hazards or the traps. No information on green contours. Missing tee blocks.

Easy to use
The enter score for the hole is a bit small. I don't where glasses when golfing. Otherwise easy to use touch +- to set score, there is a good picture of the hole and scorecard is shown when the phone is turned sideways.

Love my watch but...
Nice to be able to add my scores as I play and then see my full scorecard afterwards. It’s kinda annoying that I now have a separate app to view my full scorecard. Tracking where my ball goes is sometimes not accurate. Sometimes it does not advance to the next hole automatically so the ball tracking gets messed up. It missed tracking my birdie! I wish there is a way to sort my scorecards by golf course so I can compare my scores easily. Grouping the scorecards by year will be nice (just have a header at the beginning of each year).

This app is great! Except every time i try and put a round into it from my approach s20, it gets stuck loading. I have to delete and reinstall the app after every round to view it. Kind of annoying

Missing Teebox
I emailed Garmin months ago to inform them that they are missing a specific set of tees. They never responded, nor did they update. The tee-box they’re missing is the one I play frequently, so...the stays won’t exactly be accurate making this app useless for me.

Nice tidy little app!
Communication with watch S20 is a seamless experience. The new golf app downloads your saved scores and displays them well! Nice to have this info so you can check your progress through the year. Haven’t tried GPS for golf just using the app but it looks like it will do it.

Disappointed
My Garmin watch found the course I played without issue. Once I return home I input my scores into the watch. The app found the course but said it’s unavailable? Now I can’t input my scores from a good round. Why can’t I just input scores after the fact? Why do I have to start a round on the app to input scores? Very disappointing.
