Could be better - design it for user needs

I just downloaded the app and I don’t mind it. I can see that the developers improved it. However, they need to design the app for the users and their needs. Not everyone wants to order and pickup. I use your competitor company’s app to create my shopping list before I go there. The shopping list is mine, not for ordering online and picking up. It’s for me to help me remember what I need when I’m at the store. The current shopping card shows me a giant banner taking 1/4 or 1/3 of the screen trying to remind me that I need to add more items to Mae the minimum $ for pickup. Please don’t push me to shop differently and fix your app so it is designed for my use, not how you think I should be using it. I will edit this review once I see that you’re improving the app based on the feedback here.

App won’t even load

Not sure if it’s a new update or what, but as of yesterday I launch the app and it sits at the front green screen. I deleted it and reinstalled it, no better. It says the latest update has now push notifications. That is not a quality of life update, that doesn’t make shopping on the app easier.

Hardly ever opens and slows down cashier line-up

It use to work okay but in the last two days I have had to delete and re-install twice which is a hassle bc you have to choose your store, put it back in the wallet, etc. I’m not the only one having difficulty with it (clearly) but when someone in the line up leaves it last minute to open app - the entire line up is left waiting for the app to open (and often, never does). Just make the food prices cheaper instead of doing these stupid point systems!!!!

Completely useless

The Moi Rewards (aside from being a monumentally stupid brand name) really messed up the app. Haven’t been able to log in since the change and customer service couldn’t help and then ignored me. Barely shop there anymore because of this colossal f-up and their lack of interest in fixing it or helping their customers.

Terrible

I downloaded the app in hopes to order my groceries and use the moi rewards. Instantly I am unable to order pick up from my local store and the app keeps freezing. In the 5 minutes I have used it I have closed and restarted 3 times. I finally gave up. This needs a serious upgrade.

What is the real value? Anyone calculated?

The most confusing marketing product I have ever seen, not even sure what to review - no points ever been added, even from product with stickers, though used the barcode multiple times at the register 😅 Same is the app. Colors are ok though 🙈 Going with PC Optimum instead, much clearer.

A mistake in adding the moi card.

It is pretty annoying. It says “would you like to add your moi card?” I say yes. It says “do you need a new one or you have one?” I have one. It says “enter the number of your card”. I enter it. It says “oops! That is someone’s card number ! Sorry!” “Would you like to make a new one or you have one?” And round and round it goes

Other than looking at the flyer on line and showing your points card at the register, it’s pretty useless for anything else. Used to be able to click and make an in person shopping list from the weekly flyer… not anymore. Only allows to make an online “Pick up order” list which I don’t need.

Potential is there but glitchy

This app has potential but it is extremely glitchy and frustrating to use. I hope the performance can be improved in future updates. Last year it worked smoothly, but it has been very slow and buggy for the past few months. Scrolling through offers is very laggy, and the flyer feature is unusable a I always have to use the Flipp app instead.

I'm using the app on iOS 26 and I've did the latest update for this app and it still doesn't open and yes I've tried troubleshooting by clearing the cache, restarting my iPhone, uninstalling and re-installing. I’m not sure why you’ve got an application that obviously needs work based on your very low ratings and reviews and don’t do anything to resolve. Lack of offers compare to other competitors offer way more points, plus their partner stores adds extra point if you shop there ie (gas station). Extremely late to the rewards program probably is to blame here.

Worked well, until I signed me out and won’t let me sign back in.

Like I said in the tittle for a while it was working well, I could check the flier, check all prices of products in store, add my pints and get to my card. Well last night I went to see how much fake peanut butter would cost, as I’m craving it. Well it sighed me out, no biggy right? I’ll just sign back in. But wait, I forgot my password, so I change it and go to sign in. Then it did nothing, not even tell me if I got the email or password wrongs, just brought me to the place, just telling me to sign in again. I try again and nope, doesn’t work.

As an employee at food basics I often rely on the app to use as a flyer when all of our paper ones go missing. Customers often use my app to check when they ask, but now I can’t access it at all.

Bad update

Both this app and my Metro have deleted my Moi card info on the latest update and won’t let me add it on so I can’t access the coupons (which is the only way to get points at Food Basics). Pointless using at Food basics in store or for online. Please fix.

Can’t make a shopping list!!!

This is very frustrating, it seems like ever since food basic’s switched to the moi format, the list feature doesn’t work (I could be wrong with the timing). I relied heavily on that feature to go through the flyer and make a list so that I didn’t forget things, since I go to 2-3 supermarkets to keep within our budget. Please fix this! I’m sure I’m not the only one who needs this feature to work!

This app hasn’t worked since Moi Rewards came out. I haven’t been able to get past the login screen since. It’s been MONTHS. Why hasn’t this been fixed? I know I’m not the only one having this issue. I can’t place any orders for pick up, it just keeps saying an error occurred try again. This app is really only good for checking prices and loading your moi card to your Apple wallet. What garbage application.

Needs a UX assessment by someone who actually shops …. App is hard to navigate, graphic design by crayon, stupid functionality like asking for a postal code if you want to change your base store (hint: ask for TOWN or CITY name!). FAR too structured for delivery/pick up services.

Lost everything after update!

This is a scam! I updated the app, went to login and it wouldn’t let me login, so I tried to register again, but on the registration page I clicked “Take me to the login” and entered my login information. I couldn’t remember my password so I was getting errors, but I finally remembered it and once it logged me in, in told me to complete my registration and link my card! So I lost all the points I had! What kind of app update deletes the user information?!? I’ll be reaching out to the proper governing bodies!

I know I’m not alone in experiencing an inability to log onto this app - so it’s incredibly-frustrating that after multiple updates, the problem most of us here are having has still not been resolved.

The Metro app works fine and I use it now at food basics to hold my Moi card.

When I try to log in, the app freezes.

I was excited to see that the app had been updated. Unfortunately I am still unable to get past the login screen.

It worked better before this latest update. Before the update the app would help to generate a list of items to purchase from each flyer. Not now. Why???

That was one of the best features of the app. I could walk through the store and look at the flyer or list and see what I wanted to purchase. I also knew that I got everything.

Only the flyer and coupon clipping is available, no searching through real store items to add to the list. Only flyer items. What a waste of my time!

This app is really, desperately, completely needs an overhaul. I would expect an app like this in the 90's, even the 1890's.

It needs to be iPad compatible,full page. Needs grocery search.

Flyers are passible on the app.But you can get it on Flip or Reebes. So with that being said, this download is a waste of time. Poor effort by app developer.
