Best Monitor
After lots of research, we decided on the Nanit Plus and it has been such a relief to be able to see, monitor and track all actions day and night. The breathing monitor keeps us resting easy with our son being born premature and with respiratory issues. Knowing that the alarm will sound in the night brings added comfort. The clarity of the video and tracking tools are incredible. My family that lives out west loves logging in and seeing their grandson and talking through the monitor. It’s a really special tool. Worth every penny.

Great Monitor
Works as advertised. The camera quality wasn’t as crisp as I was hoping for but it’s still really good. The night vision quality is decent. Connectivity isn’t a huge issue on this device. It will occasionally disconnect but connecting back is quite simple. Installation was really easy and the instructions were clear. I’d recommend this camera to family and friends.

Good but can be improved
Things that were great:
-4 options for white noise machine and adjustable volume
-able to access camera on phone
-swaddles (but they got too small when baby was 11 pounds. I would say up to 15 lbs was not accurate)
-love the insights that are available when using floor stand
-like that insights give sleep times automatically
-having audio in the background of your phone is a great option
-the memories videos
Things that can be improved
-video quality. Sometimes it’s really poor
-having a button to turn on/off white noise machine on camera (really annoying if you don’t have your phone on you all the time)
-insights also available for multi-stand would also be great not just for the floor stand
-capturing videos would be great

-didn’t find the breathe wear useful at this time since the multi stand. A few times we tried but it didn’t work or took too long

Best camera yet
The Nanit has been incredible! Set is super easy and the visibly is so clear. I love that I can track how long baby is sleeping and when she wakes. Also love that i can go back and review her activity (wake ups etc). Overall, I am very impressed and wish I had it for my first daughter! Definitely recommend it to all new parents!

This device and app have been a game changer for us. The image quality is excellent, allowing us to see if LO is awake, or just making noise in their sleep. With the additional sleep wear, the breathing monitor has brought peace of mind for first time parents.

Best baby monitor and app!
We love the nanit baby monitor. It is a bit pricey but totally worth it. I love having the apps on both my husband and my phone - I can even check baby quickly when out if she’s sleeping (husband works from home so I can let him know if she needs something if he didn’t see on his phone). The app also gives handy tips as your baby grows, monitors their sleeping patterns and the quality of picture is great. I also like the sound options which you can turn on from your phone. Highly recommend!

Mediocre at best
Awful camera quality, constantly lags and disconnects. Why can I not have the monitor in-screen as I do other things on my phone? Constantly have to have the app open and switch back and forth. For this price point the camera and app should be advanced and parent-friendly, but it’s not.

Love my Nanit. Has helped my husband and I transition our child to his own crib by providing helpful insights and tips. Replaced our old monitor and will be recommending to my other friends who are new moms.

Great for new parents (and their sleep)
Works as described, great way for the working party to periodically see their newborn throughout the day. When it’s bedtime mom and dad can have their own time with that “see and hear it all” flexibility provided by the app. Worth the spend if you’re active and want to get stuff done around the house while always being there for your little one!

Happy first time mummy
So far I’m loving this baby monitor. Only reason it’s not a full 5 stars is that the video sound constantly has what sounds like white noise because the microphone is so sensitive, and the video gets a tad grainy when you zoom in. But honestly great purchase! Worth every cent! 👍🏻

Peace of mind
As an older than the average, mother. One who struggled to have this miracle rainbow baby, the nanit is a game changer.
The level of comfort it provides our family is remarkable. I’d like to see the next generation give me baby’s temperature and perhaps Bluetooth capable for personalized music or stories.

The app keeps track so when you are to tired to remember how many feeds you did last night or what time you baby woke up and when should you put them down for a nap? Just go back to the history and remind yourself. Huge help when building and keeping on top of my babies schedule

I can sleep peacefully knowing baby is ok and breathing!
I love the Nanit. We use it with the wall mount over my son’s crib. After reading about SIDS, the Nanit allows us to sleep at night knowing baby is okay and breathing. It’s like a second set of eyes watching over him. The app is very user friendly and I love being able to monitor him from my phone from anywhere in the house or when I’m away. I love the feature where the app sends me an alert anytime there is activity around the crib so I always am updated about what is going on. Would recommend Nanit to anyone!

Horrible waste of money
I HATE THIS PIECE OF S**T!
Worst purchase ever - the app/camera is so flaky and barely ever actually connects/shows video feed. Customer services only recommendation: move the camera closer to your router. Oh yes, I’ll move my baby to the hallway just so the camera can be closer to the router. Idiots. In the odd change that the camera does connect, it doesn’t actually record any videos of my baby. I have all these events that show up like her waking up ans falling asleep and it almost always says video unavailable. My camera is about5 months old and it has been going downhill from day 1. Purchase something else!

Not worth the extra money
This camera is great for the first few months, then all of a sudden you have to purchase a $159.99 plan to continue seeing your child’s sleep patterns. This is a new feature though as we purchased a nanit camera for our 2.5 year old daughter and can still see her sleep patterns since day 1 with her camera without ever having to purchase a plan. So the new camera we have for our infant son doesn’t do what it promises to when purchased unless you start paying monthly. So not as advertised and not worth the extra cost when it’s the exact same as every other video monitor once requiring you to pay $159.99 more. Ridiculous

Pretty expensive for lower quality product
I pay the subscription and our family is not happy. Its constantly losing connection despite all our other devices not missing a beat. You think for the price it would be reliable.
Camera quality is comparable to a lower end vtech system. For a quarter of the price I would recommend someone go with that or put in the same money into a high end dedicated system.
I gave the product 2 stars at least because when it does work it gets the job done, especially the breath wear. I also like the sleep stats.
Overall the product needs improvement and a price cut for low quality reliability it offers.

So many features that I like we try to keep feeds and naps on schedule and me and my wife look at each-other and say when was this when was that and we look at the app and it tells you everything tells you if he put himself to sleep we use the white noise like crazy he loves it! Well we don’t know if he does he just passes out too it hahaha!

Simply the best !
We are first time parents who are extremely fortunate to have our Nanit !
From tracking sleep, looking at my bundle of joy from work, the first couple nights home from the hospital, and everything in between.
The Nanit has been stable, efficient and our right hand during this amazing journey. So many amazing features. Sleep tracking, breathing monitoring, measuring length (new crib sheets), amazing night vision, wireless connectivity, suggestion for sleeping… and on an on.
If you can afford the couple extra dollars for this amazing system you will not be disappointed.

It just works
I hesitated buying the Nanit because of the price tag, I simply couldn’t justify it. We went through monitor after monitor, all falling short of our needs.
If you need basic nursery to bedroom montitor, the Nanit is overkill. If you want a wifi monitor, this is a fantastic option.

Not worth the money for his camera
The more things this company seems to introduce to their tech line up, the less the camera seems to work.
First it was the breathing bands.
Then the “memories” tab.
Now with the “smart sheets”.
Honestly, I just wanted a working camera that I could use with my smartphone, and what a mistake it was going with Nanit.
The audio constantly cuts out, which with the background noise that plays in my child’s room, the cuts wake me up more in the night than my own child. The video is always behind, often does a circle/square spinning thing trying to catch up... which it doesn’t.
Don’t even get my started on the amount of times Nanit has tried to pass the blame to my internet provider...I have gigabit internet. They also claim to work with just wifi, so with a home network, the camera should be reliable and it isn’t.
It also seems like every time they do an update, we have to go through a whole series of events to get the camera connected again. Reset camera. Reset modem. Reconnect camera to wifi.
Also, can we talk about the insane blinking strobe light you chose to put on the top of the camera that blinks when it has to be reset? I’m sorry, but when I have to reset the camera at 11pm, 1am,4am... and I’m trying NOT to wake my baby...who’s brilliant idea was it to have a white light blink in a dark room?
As you can see, I am really not happy with this camera, and hope to save others from the headache that I’ve experienced.

Features include:
• occasionally connecting and disconnecting from the internet whenever it feels like.
• consistently lagging like you’re playing Halo on dial-up in 2006.
• tech support that pretty much has zero understanding of the product and a general perversion for inflicting maximum pain while stringing you along with a little hope.
• ridiculously expensive, so expensive in fact that you would assume that it must be the best one for your baby. But that’s where they get ya!!
So if you’re wishing you could pay as much as humanly possible for a baby monitor that doesn’t even work as a paper weight, you have come to the right place!!

High price but not high quality
We “upgraded” to Nanit just over 2 months ago but would advise against anyone else doing the same. We had reliability issues with our old system (Arlo Baby) and decided we required reliability for our daughter’s safety. We incorrectly assumed that the high end price point meant high end, reliable product. This week alone we have woken up 3 separate times in the night to discover the Nanit app on our dedicated monitor tablet displaying a message that the connection was lost and a big troubleshoot button. We have then tried both phones at the same time to find the same message and confirm it is an error on the camera’s part and not just the tablet. The “troubleshoot” button is not helpful as it essentially puts all the blame on you and your network, and offers no way to actually troubleshoot the Nanit camera.
We are a household that relies on our internet connection for music/tv/movie/sports streaming as well as numerous smart home functions and as such we have a quality 120Mbps/10Mbps internet connection and a mesh network consisting of 2 high quality, well reviewed routers. I am quite capable and confident in the quality/speed of our home network. I frequently run speed tests all over our home and property to ensure the network is working at a level I expect. I can run a speed test on my iPhone 8 right beside the Nanit and achieve speeds of 100Mbps+ download and 10Mbps upload. I know the signal is strong at the location of the Nanit without a doubt. As well when I experience this issue I hop on to my router configuration app and can see the router confirming the Nanit is in fact connected to the router without issue and even verify the signal strength. Of course it also shows the Nanit at 0Kbps upload or download which tells me the Nanit absolutely has a connection to the internet but something is wrong on the camera’s end and preventing it from broadcasting.
This camera is not priced affordably and is definitely on the high end of monitor pricing but we were comfortable spending that to protect our daughter. Unfortunately 2 months after spending a large amount of money on our second monitor in 9 months it appears we are going to need to go out and find a 3rd one. This time we will play it safe, buying a more budget friendly reliable old school non-internet requiring monitor and be confident it is reliable for us. There is no worse feeling than waking up at 5am to the sound of a silent monitor and having no idea how long our daughter has been on her own.
