Very hard to interact with peoples outside our organization. They are often blocked by a « dark power » link to security issues difficult to understand or overcome. One day everything is ok, one month later the girl is blocked for no reasons.

Ms teams is primitive compared to zoom platform. My screen goes black during meetings. When I try moving people to break out rooms they get logged out and have to sign back in or they get kicked out from the rooms. I was expecting much more from Microsoft. What a horrible experience

Nobody actually likes Teams
I don’t know a single person who actually likes Teams. Many moons ago we had an organization wide poll on which char service to move to, Slack or Teams. Slack was overwhelming spoken of positively. Teams was selected, because the selection team received a free trip from Microsoft. *shrug*. Not surprised because there is no way Microsoft could compete legitimately.

Something’s not right with this app! I just updated it but when I tap on its icon button the app is NOT OPENING! It’s just displaying the logo in a white background and it stays stuck that way, and I can bet it’ll stay that way for hours on end or longer. Please, can you re-update or reboot the app?!

You can never login. Authenticator never works. You have to ‘confirm’ login at least 4 times to get to one thing you want to do. Microsoft Teams never loads on your computer, let alone lags and really never lets you open the things you want to see. The format changes on each new device you work on so good luck trying to find posts and files from the past.

Very Buggy on iOS
I’ve been using Teams on my iPhone for almost a year now and the number of glitches and bugs it has is really frustrating. Some days you can’t create a new meeting, or you can’t set the date and time, other times you can’t open an existing meeting without it either glitching, not saving the data, or simply crashing. Very frustrating to use on iOS.

UX needs improvement
There appears to be no straightforward way to “unhide” a chat when you’ve accidentally hidden it. A workaround is to move the chat from the default chat section to a named one, which appears to “unhide” it. However the issue with this is that there doesn’t appear to be an option in the “move chat” menu item to move the chat back out of a named section (e.g. favourites) back into the regular list.
I don’t know if this is just a deficiency in the separate chats view and if it works differently in the combined view (which I find to be too full of channels that I only need to check in on once or twice a week) or if the issue applies to both chat list models.

Locking standard features behind AI
I can no longer access various functionalities of the Microsoft Teams app without being forced to down the CoPilot app. For example, I can no longer access my teams shared OneNote, which contains important information that I require access to outside of working hours.
This is an extremely hostile anti consumer move from Microsoft, to push an unrequested product down our throats. This is completely unnecessary, and I will be pushing for my team (and potentially organization) to move towards a platform like Slack.
I already have low expectations when it comes to how Microsoft treats its consumers, but this is quite frankly the final straw. I will be moving away from the various Microsoft products I personally use as well.
Pushing profits over actually innovating and improving products, as usual.

Obsolete for No Reason
Teams no longer works on my perfectly functioning, albeit older model, iPhone 8. Since I cannot update to iOS 17, this app no longer works. It’s not an issue with the phone itself. It’s the app’s forcing the phone to become obsolete. I wish I could just use the app with the understanding I can’t get updates instead of being blocked by a notification.

I had to use this ‘app’ for a business meeting. After signing into my Outlook account this app would not connect to the meeting unless it got the following: location, notifications, network. I tried saying No to the first 2 then I said while using app to network. I am on a phone on wifi, what network is it trying to connect to. Misleading permission requests
This app requests permissions to the local network.
Until you reject the request, the app works fine without the permission.
The app works fine on cellular.
As soon as you deny its permission request, it stops working, not because it has a good reason to request the permission but to pressure you into giving it access to private networks it doesn’t need if you aren’t using it integrated to other Microsoft systems.
This is misleading and a dark pattern that I believe is not allowed on the App Store, based on privacy guidelines 5.1.1 and design guideline 4 against degraded functionality.

Not impressed.
Had to use this for online school for almost the entirety of 2020-2021. Calls are glitchy, you get kicked out often, somehow there’s a handful of features that were simply missing half the time I used the app, such as something as simple as being able to talk in the chat rooms. Me and my classmates have had constant microphone/camera problems throughout our meetings. You get a notification for every single message you get instead of every few which is extremely infuriating when you need the notifications on for your classes. I’ve also had the issue where it simply hasn’t let me log in for up to an hour, and I’ve missed classes because of it. Overall, I really dislike it.

Absolute worst “enterprise” chat system
Im forced to use teams due to some of our enterprise clients and it has been the worst experience. I constantly lose access to my account, always “oops something went wrong,” endless cycles of sending codes to email and 2FA with authenticator apps to then just have it blow up and go “oops” again.
There seems to be multiple accounts created with my exact email and the app doesnt understand how to handle it.

Assignments feature 4/5
This is a great app for online schooling. My only issue is that the assignments feature on mobile is a little hard to use, if I wanted to go through all my teams assignments to see if there are any more I need to do before I start my weekend, I have to pick each team one by one, going back to the assignments menu each time. And worse, if a teacher hasn’t even assigned anything since they started the team, I get the ‘if your teacher makes any assignments they will be posted here’ page, and from there I need to restart the app in order to look at my other assignments.
I would love to be about to swipe left and right to go to my next team’s assignments, and clicking Next after selecting a team to view assignments for seems like a useless extra step. And I definitely don’t want to be barred from viewing other assignments just because I looked at a team who hasn’t set up assignments yet.
Please clean up the assignments tab and make it a bit more user friendly!

Can’t start video conference from the app
I see no way to initiate a video conference with my team from the iOS app. This is a major shortfall and, consequently, gives it a failing grade. Rectify this issue and I’ll revise my review to an improved rating.
