Portal is designed to make your UWaterloo life easier, providing access to a suite of real-time information, updates and features relevant to all students.
The full launch of Portal app is scheduled for Fall, 2019. The current version is not complete with all features. Enhancements of new functionality will be added consistently in the coming months so please stay tuned and give us feedback of what you like and what you’d like to see in the future!

Getting Better
When I first downloaded the app in first year, there was nothing useful for me other than the map! Now, it seems that there’s Meal Plan/Flex Dollars balance, open classrooms, and more academics available to see in the app. Would definitely like to see more improvements.

Miss the old version
I remember downloading the app last year and thinking how great it was that UW had an app where I could have easy access to my classes and exam schedule. Now I sorely miss that! I think it would be a good option to add a reload WatCard function too.

Good place to check your calendar and the events registered. Easy navigation.

UW can do better
For MIT of the North, you’d think they could create an app that’s top quality. As a first year, I really needed a map which I could easily control, and an easy way of seeing everything on my schedule. The app is getting there, but the map 100% needs redoing.

Functional and Easy to Use
It’s nice to have your entire schedule in one convenient place from classes to finals in order to better manage your time. It’s also nice to see watcard balance without the hassle of a separate login.

Great improvement
When the app first launched it was not that good, lots of bugs and not very user friendly. I’m happy to say that portal is near perfect now, really helpful through everyday life especially finding places to study and finding exam schedules

Calendar Schedule makes it very convenient to check class times and the new feature that shows the WatCard balance makes it so much easier to check flex dollars for laundry.

What does it do?
The functionality of the app isn’t very clear. It seems like it would benefit from a different layout. There’s one page that simply lists the courses you are taking, which is something Quest can do for you and something most people have memorized or in their personal calendars anyway. The other functionality of the app isn’t very clear. I think the key question that needs to be asked is, how is this benefiting and easing the lives of students to make their student experience one that is seamless.

Website is better
The app crashes when doing trivial things such as changing the items that can be viewed on the map. Very difficult to navigate and hard to use. The website is better than the actual app.

New Beta is not ready
I wouldn't call this a beta release, this app is missing too much to be released. I know the old portal needed some improvements, but this new version is definitely a downgrade.

I feel bad for the coop students who are probably responsible for the last update. No more widgets. All that’s left is the calendar. I liked being able to see your Watcard balance.

I don’t know who redesigned this interface but there’s literally nothing anymore...all the widgets are gone. I can’t even check my schedule for tomorrow, it only shows the current day, and that only loads fully after I refresh twice, otherwise it just shows half of the classes, and also the weather is shown as if I care about that at all

Terrible upgrade
This version of the app is totally unnecessary and just terrible. Most of the functions are no longer there and it’s completely unless right now. I couldn’t even submit my feedback on the feedback submission page in the app.

This app is literally useless without the watcard balance, map of campus, eating places open hours and open classrooms Also the submit feedback feature is broken, hence I’m here to give this feedback on the AppStore. Test a bit before you release. This is way below an MVP
