Description
The Dexcom Follow App is part of the Dexcom CGM system.
Use this app if your loved one is sharing data from their Dexcom CGM app. The Sharer will need to send an invitation to allow you to connect after you have installed the Follow app.
Dexcom Follow is the perfect companion to your loved one’s Dexcom CGM, connecting you to those nearest and dearest to you, even when they’re far away. Through secure wireless connections, Dexcom Follow allows you to view and follow the glucose levels, trends and data of your loved ones.

Depuis l’upgrade de l’application, il est impossible pour moi de suivre mon fils. Mon mari ça fonctionne, mais pas moi. Je reçois l’invitation, je suis les étapes et ensuite je reçois un message d’erreur de connection au serveur. J’ai informé Dexcom par courriel et aucun suivi n’a été fait par eux. Vraiment insatisfaite.

We share our son’s data with his teacher, on her phone, so she can react quickly if our son is low. I wish we could set a sharing schedule (I.e. M-F, 8am-3pm), as sometimes we forget to share in the am and unshare at night...so she gets alarms throughout the night if he goes low. Is it possible to build in this functionality?

Why so much space is wasted and the chart is so tiny!? Why can’t shift it left and right?! Did the GUI designer ever use the app at least a day!? I would fire them if I were the boss. Can’t believe a sensor is $300 but with such a dumb app.

The old version of Follow was much easier to track trends. New scale on the graph is awkward, and the screen has tonnes of wasted space that could be used for better tracking.

Thanks for updating this app! We are new to Dexcom and need to follow our son. I was just complaining the other night to my husband how I didn’t like the old format. Couldn’t pinpoint the moment he went low or high while at Grandma’s for a sleepover. I was surprised to see my orange app turn green before I went to bed last night. And I am stoked to see I have pretty much the same dashboard my son has on his phone! 😁

I’d like this app to be updated so it can be added to the widgets for iPhone just like the Dexcom G6 app. As parents it would more convenient I’m our busy schedules to just swipe rather than opening the app.
ALSO, it works awesome with the Fitbit Versa. You even get the graph. BUT, I upgrade to the Apple Watch 5 and the app doesn’t work at all!! Please make this work with more devices!!

Is there a way that you can add a feature that lets you click on a specific time in the graph to see the exact time of lows or highs or even what the glucose level was at that particular time. Even once clicked on the graph a place to add notes or comments? That would be extremely helpful.

Dexcom, I am really happy for what you are doing here. Don’t get me wrong, the app is so great, and it is wonderful to be able to follow your loved one’s glucose levels.
HOWEVER: Why can’t we have a widget instead of having to open up the app???
This would be MUCH more convenient for us to be able to just swipe to check the current glucose level instead of having to open up the app EvErY SiNgLe TiMe! Please update your app for us.

My partner has send me 3 invites to share their BG levels. But none of them work. The error message ‘Invitation Error’ and states “the invitation has already been used or has expired. Ask them to send another invitation”.
How is it expired if I click the link as soon as I get the email!

Nice to be able to see our daughters trends.
Things for developer to consider for updates; as parent would be nice to access data like previous events, and specific times, up or down arrows related to times of events etc, this would allow me to make better decisions re next actions, also would nice to have a widget for quick access from lock screen.
Good start but look at update options in the future.

The app it’s self is great for following blood glucose levels in the moment but as a parent following my sons blood glucose levels I should be able to scroll back and look at patterns over time. This would make the app far more useful. Please pay attention to the reviews and comments as this seems to be a common fault noticed by others it seems that it should be done sooner rather than later. If you could address that along with the constant loss of data and having to re-boot the app each time my three star rating would become a five star

This app is a great feature for parents or someone caring for someone with diabetes. I only wish it had the ability like the user’s app to click on a reading in the graph chart and it display the reading and the directional arrow. This would be a great app if it actually notified me with sound when my daughter is low. Right now it only notifies me by a banner notification. If my phone is unlocked and I’m using it then the siren will go off if she is low. If my phone is locked it only notifies by banner not siren. Pointless really. Grrrr. Please fix this. Makes me very nervous that I’m not getting noticed.

The device is life changing for a parent of a T1D.
However, this app could be so much better. The functionality is super limited and very bare bones.
No concept of UX and poor UI.
You have these incredible data points and no way to be able to deep dive them. How about:
- Adding a way to select the reading on the graph and have a pop up that shows be exact time and the exact number
- the ability to be able to pinch zoom on the graph
- the ability to be able to swipe and scroll the graph over time
- the ability to be able to case by case customize alerts, snooze or adjust

So happy to have Dexcom G5 and Share in Canada! It has given our T1D daughter so much more freedom knowing we can see her BG from anywhere. Wish Dexcom would add the widget to the Share app. It works well on our daughter's phone and I'd love to have such easy access as well.
