Description

The Official BlackVue Dash Cameras app.

The BlackVue app supports all the BlackVue dashcam models with Wi-Fi compatibility.

Four modes: BLACKVUE CLOUD, BLACKVUE WI-FI, INTERNAL MEMORY and BLACKVUE BATTERY.

BLACKVUE WIFI:

Access your dashcam in a direct connection over Wi-Fi. To do so, connect first to your BlackVue from your phone’s Wi-Fi Network menu.

Once connected, you can go to the BlackVue app’s BlackVue Wi-Fi menu to access all the videos stored on your dashcam’s microSD card, check Live View to adjust your camera’s angle if needed, and modify your BlackVue’s settings.

You can also apply a firmware update over-the-air (FOTA) after downloading the firmware to your phone. If you are already connected to your BlackVue, make sure to connect to an Internet-enabled Wi-Fi network to download the latest firmware from the app: the Firmware Download option is accessible from the sliding menu (swipe left to right in the Main Menu of the app).

Internal Memory:

Once you have downloaded videos from your dashcam to your phone, they will appear in this menu. From here, you can organize your files into folders and save videos to your phone’s photo/video album.

BlackVue Cloud:

BlackVue Cloud is a BlackVue-exclusive service (with subscription plans available) that lets you access your BlackVue from anywhere, anytime, from the BlackVue app (or the BlackVue Viewer).

Creating your BlackVue Cloud account is simple and free. After creating your account, the app lets you register your Cloud-compatible BlackVue (BLACKVUE CLOUD menu) and set it up to connect to a hotspot (BLACKVUE WI-FI menu):

▶ Real-time Location.

▶ Notification Alarms.

▶ Cloud FOTA (upgrade the dashcam’s firmware over the Cloud).

With the Smart plans, you can enjoy:

If your reading this it’s probably to late

Chances are your gonna download this and realize they have a subscription plan to access the features it’s advertised to have without mention of subscription at all! The camera is amazing I won’t lie but I will tell you what is the lie and that’s the price of the subscription it says it’s 11.99 monthly but when you go to process the payment it comes up as 15.99(cdn) then you have tax on that so 18.20(cdn) just to use the features it’s advertised to. I like the camera but im strongly thinking about thinkware right now.. smh

Terrible App

Many issues with the app, fail to connect to camera. Bugged notification, plus you have to pay to fully use any features... very disappointed.

Not able to see footage on app

Haven’t been able to see footage on app since the new update. App will just close if I try and play back a clip. Spoke with customer service who were quite nice. Yet I’m still not able to access the clip. App worked just fine prior.

Comcerned ppl are saying not good w/ iOS13 ?

this is a big concern and purchase for me considering I just nearly spent $1000can on (2) dashcams + still having to purchase the subscription we had no ides about at time of payment @ [Best Buy[[we all know how honest & commission motivated they are. The slaes rep obviously never brought up subscription until we downloaded [much better looking app].

$20 a month @$240can per year, kinda feels like [Best Buy] finessed us hard . Would really appreciate a developer to reach out and clarify as $1,240 is no joke to spend on your products to not be able to use at all 🤷🏼‍♂️. I have a road trip from Calgary, CANADA -to- Toronto, CANADA for my birthday third week of May... so obviously i don’t need to explain to you how and crucial it is I have these working... wirelessly, icloud, cellphone app, SD card. Most importantly my mom able to wirelessly check the iCloud to be able see that I’m OK driving along nearly 20 Coast to coast Canada. Not to mention a huge seller feature of this dash cam was the TWO-WAY chat to keep im touch with with family and friends while on highway.

Briefly worked, broken again under iOS 13.1.3

Enabling location, disabling wifi assist and going to the map for a location worked for a bit, now it doesn’t work again.

Wish this would get fixed.

The app’s description of toggles in settings is terrible, but at least now it works with iOS 13. You must enable ‘always allow location’ in iOS settings so that iOS 13 will enable the iPhone’s inbound network ports or some foolishness.

Showing me ads

Newest update now shows ADS when remote viewing the dashcam. So you can’t use any of the cloud features without paying monthly or watching an ad.

Never said this when I bought the dashcam and they advertised the cloud features, and previously it worked fine without ads.

Latest update broke the app and wifi connectivity... no longer get notifications.

Correction, fixed it by deleting app and logging back in then setting up notifications again. Hotspot connections are still irritating when it gets stuck not finding a connection and gives up completely until you manually restart camera...

Can’t connect to the camera via wifi when I am connected

The app (version 2.79) keeps telling me and prompting me that I cannot connect to BlackVue camera please connect to wifi. I clearly have successfully connected and even reformatted my memory card, would love to hear some feedback if it is IOS 12 that is having the problem because I am running it on an iPhone XS Max at the moment, thanks.

Connection fail

Cloud connects for less than a minute, then disconnects itself after. Every time I use “blackvue cloud” app tells me same ID in use, so I have to re-sign in; tried changing password but didn’t work. Takes long time to load a footage; but very fast to download :)

Crashes trying to share file

App is excellent other than trying to save a file to camera roll, the app crashes.

Other than that the camera works flawlessly and is my best witness to the carnage on the road and parking lots.
