ARTISTS MANNEQUIN
The mannequin was born out of the need for an interactive human anatomy reference to tackle problems like foreshortening, proportion and depth.
We expand upon the wooden mannequin for figure drawing with various 3D models and tools to help you with shape recognition, shading, perspective and stance.
POSE FAST
Moving things in 3D often involves a lot of interaction for even the simplest of goals. This is why we wanted posing to be as intuitive and simple as possible with a bare minimum in menu diving and without losing complexity.
A straightforward and intuitive design keeps all functionality close without drowning you in options.
Our goal is to let you spend more time drawing and less time preparing.
APPLY ANIMATIONS
Even for the most hardened artists it’s not easy to imagine how the body moves. In MANIKIN all animations can be viewed in detail. Use them to get faster to your desired stance or as use them as a figure study for motion.
CAMERA & LIGHT
We also give full control over camera & light. Use 360 mode to work and use "point of view mode" to get the exact camera angle you had in mind.
To ease your shading needs you have up to 4 fully adjustable lights at your disposal to create dynamic drop shadows and realistic depth.

My only complaint I have is I’m having trouble with adjusting lighting and adding and removing lights but I’m pretty sure it’s just a bit temperamental and I’ll get used to it
Edit: there’s so many lighting possibilities to explore, just takes time to get used to it:) thanks for the response devs

Where has this app been all my life! I was about to pull the trigger on getting some RL art mannequins until i came accross this app.

I’m just going to point out some of the things I found a tad annoying:
It’s hard to move and select an object once you add an object. I also wished there were other basic shapes like a sphere or a triangle.
When you click the “add” icon and then when you try to move the mannequin, it wouldn’t let you unless you turn it off. I wish there was a way to help make it obvious that those settings are either turned on or turned off. Like having the icons a different colour when the user is in that setting and white when it is off.
I wish there was a pause button for the animation because sometimes it just happens so fast and when you want to pause it you would have to adjust a limb.
Some of the buttons are slightly confusing to use (especially at first). There are a lot of buttons and sometimes it’s hard to tell which ones are in use. As mentioned earlier, it would be nice to have some sort of indicator like different colours or maybe changing he size of the icon would help make it easier and more simple for someone to use the buttons.
A grey background setting would be really nice. It’s in between black and white so it’s easier to see the mannequin.
It’s hard to navigate sometimes. It would be nice if there was a way to set the origin for when I’m rotating around.
But I did find some things that I liked about it:
You can change the style of the mannequin so that it contrasts from the dark background and still allows you to see every part of the figure.
Different lighting options and the shadows that are produced.
Lastly, I would like to say that this app has lots of potential, it just needs a little more work. I love that there are social media accounts that let artists and other people communicate with the creator(s) and be able to make requests for poses and it’s just really awesome and fun for everyone.
