Issue resolved Re: Expensive junk

Version 3.5.3
What was once a Garbage wireless & great air cleaner is now working perfectly in both areas. Blueair should give that app team a promotion, a big raise, and 4 week paid holiday. Problems are all resolved

App is still terrible

Version 3.5.3
The app is useless. Can’t tell when you are actually looking at the read outs for. Time jumps around and the font is light and small. The time itself is difficult to control and the read out is difficult to understand. This is with the latest update in May 2021. Brutal. A shame for a great machine - scrap the newer version and go back to the one from a year ago...part of the reason I bought 2 machines. Now it’s really not what I paid for.

Awful

Version 3.0.12
Terrible app, difficult to set up any product online and they constantly show as offline after being set up. After the newest update, it’s decided I can’t set up any new products because I’m not in the correct location/region (which there is no option to do) despite sitting next to my purifier.
It’s just a terrible app: looks nice, but is completely useless for doing anything. If looking for a smart air purifier, I would not use this, or buy their purifier (classic 480i)

The classic model is showing “offline” no matter the pairing method. The app shuts down after clicking on the connected “offline” unit from the home screen.

Latest update has disconnected my Blueair Classic, and I’m unable to reconnect. The app tells me, “This product is offline”. Please fix it ASAP!

Version 3.0.9
Recent update turned a decent app into a non-functional waste of time. Multiple attempts to reconnect to my Classic failed. Why?
Please give us back something that works.

Garbage app. Unusable for almost a year.

Can you please revert to the previous version which actually worked.
For the blueair classic series this is completely non functional.
Is this even tested before release?

Version 3.0.3
First I have to deal with it being tough to find blueair filters for a reasonable price, but now a really bad app. Completely frustrating. Every time this app updates it signs me out and removes my saved device, which is a pain to connect to in the first place. Bloated app filled with information you don't even need, and it requires an account for no reason. It's like they hired amateur programmers in their second year at college to make this app.

Much improved.

Nice new look, but still many flaws

Version 3.0.0
I like the new look and the idea behind the design, but still many flaws remain.
1. Serial number info has disappeared, as mentioned by someone else.
2. Can't remove saved locations for outside readings.
3. Can't reorder the devices in the list
4. The seems to be a swipe feature on each device, but there are no actions to do and I can't find options for this anywhere.
I do like that the new night time feature has new settings for what to return to after the night mode is over. This was sorely lacking, and is a good addition.
Overall, promising but still lots to fix and improve. Looking forward to it.

Version 2.8.6
Probably one of the crappiest apps I’ve ever come across. Don’t bother downloading it rarely works and if it does it will only be for a matter of time. You’ll be pulling out your hair trying to get it to reconnect again. Garbage.

App needs an Overhaul

Version 2.8.6
I own three units by Blueair. All of which are wifi comparable. This app makes things really frustrating to deal with. It needs to be severely overhauled and checked for bugs and glitches. All of a sudden I no longer see my units on the app. I tried to re add one by one. They came back and disappeared yet again. I deleted the app and attempted to redownload I logged back in and none of my devices existed. I tried to re add them and it’s repeating the process.

Wheres the money go?

Version 2.8.6
This wasn’t a cheap purifier by any means.
The connection wasn’t too difficult to initially set up and seemed to work for a while.
The night mode- which is the only real reason to use the app- intermittently fails for reasons unknown.the scheduling for night mode is also prehistoric, I have better options on a 30$ thermostat. You cannot adjust for different days of the week.
No significant updates to this app in years
I had to completely remove and re-add my purifier when I changed routers.
Now I’m having the same problem again except the app doesn’t even recognize my phone as connected to wifi so I can’t even start the process.

Was a bit hesitant at first about downloading the app due to the negative reviews, but decided to try it out anyway. The set up was easy and simple, I haven’t encountered any issues so far. Works great.

Stuck in “name your device”

It connected to wifi and then the app ask you to “name your device” and all it does is please try again and the machine lost wifi connection. What a joke. the last version didn’t let your name nothing and it was working. Please fix the app

Problematic App

Version 2.8
Before the update, the app was amazing and worked very well. Since the update, I had great great difficulties connecting my blueair to my wifi. I tried for weeks and then gave up for a while. When I was finally able to connect, the device would often disconnect and I had to constantly re-setup the device. Uber frustrating. The developers really need to fix this problem. I also liked the previous interface more, as it provided a clearer image of the air quality, such as a breakdown into hours/days/weeks. Please fix this update!

Failure Again and Again

Version 2.6.4
I wanted to like this app. I really did. But after trying (literally) over a hundred times my purifier would not connect. The app fails with no reason given, just “could not connect”. I contacted their support team who shrugged and said essentially “I don’t know”. A quick search revealed that I’m not the only person with this problem. Either BlueAir failed to build a decent wifi machine or their app coders are asleep at the wheel.
Bought a Xiaomi purifier which is also wifi and it worked immediately.
