I cant download any video since i got my iphone so since jamuary. Please make it so i can download videos. I want to listen to your podcasts on the go with no ads since im a first member. Right now i can only listen to the podcasts om spotify when im on the go and i practically only listen/watch your podcasts when im not home! PLEASE!!! 😭😭

Been a long time rooster teeth fan (2010/2011ish), got the app and first membership to download content to watch offline. When I download, sometimes it just doesn’t download, and when it does, it plays for 2 minutes and 8 seconds, then I get the loading wheel and video will not play. I’ve sent a tech and help report in a while ago but I’ve gotten no feed back or answers. Please, I love rooster teeth, but I just want to watch the content I pay for offline. I’ve redownloaded the app multiple times and issue still hasn’t been fixed.

I gave this app 2 stars because although the app works well online, the downloading of content is awful. There is no background downloading available, and when I am able to keep the app open for the half hour it takes to download a video, only about 25% of the video is downloaded eve though the app says it is complete. I have tried re-downloading the same video multiple times to no avail. I have also put my phone in airplane mode once it is downloaded (a suggestion I saw on Reddit) and that used to work, but not anymore. I really wish they would fix the offline downloading issues.

Been using the app on my iPad and if it wasn’t for chrome cast support I wouldn’t use it at all. I tend to use the website more as it’s less broken than the app.

The fact that this app in 2018, very soon to be 2019 still runs in iPhone compatibility mode on iPad is atrocious. I love most everything else about the app, with the small exception for no on player airplay controls though they can still be used from control center. However the lack of iPad support of any kind should make Rooster Teeth feel ashamed that they would release and continue to update the app without this support for NINE ( 9 ) MONTHS.
Implement some of Youtube’s functionality please?

It would be nice if the video browser acted like youtube in these aspects...
a. Why is fast forward or rewind a swipe and not double tap? Why is the swipe feel counter intuitive?
b. minimize a video to the bottom right corner to browse other content
c. Design a way for the orientation to also work horizontally. Whenever I open the app on my ipad I wonder why I even bother opening it.

Only native on iphone not Ipad... its been years. I know Barbaras dad is working on the app and only so much can be done.
Downloading the videos should have a quality selector (low, medium, high, and audio only).
The downloads should also be able to be played in the background.

I like the rooster teeth and their content but there is a serious problem with this app. My wifi isn’t the greatest but I can still watch a 27 minute long video on YouTube without buffering but I can’t watch a 3 minute video of RWBY chibi on this app without it starting then buffering for a half hour when it’s a minute into it. This is a serious problem so if you could fix it that would be great.

I’ve been a fan of rt for like... 7? Years now and I know youtube isn’t their most profitable platform anymore so I’m trying to support them through their app & website instead of YouTube. There are some features I wish the rt app had - like being able to rewind/fast forward ~10 seconds by double tapping the side of the screen. This feature would be great for AH vids where you look away for one second and suddenly 4 people are dead lol. Also the auto play/ next up doesn’t always have the next video in the series. I’ll be watching camp camp and then the next episode up will be from a different season. I love rt and I will continue to support them through the app but I just wish there were some features to make it a little easier :)

A bug for iPad where if the video is in landscape mode at 2x size, since this is an iPhone app, a white bar will appear with a pause symbol as yet to be fixed and was brought on by the second to last update. I’ve tried to make mention of the bug on Twitter twice and still no fix or acknowledgement.

So I’m having a few issues with the new App ever since updating on wednesday. When I open it, the home page only has spinning line wheels continuously going for each channel and when I try to login, a message appears indicatng “an error occured; invalid data response” .
I hope I’m not the only one and all is well soon!

I love the new look and video player however, not a fan that when I need to switch away from the app it doesn’t keep playing or if I lock my phone is stops playing the video. And I loved the option to minimize the video in app to look around the store/ browse other video options but now it doesn’t minimize. Please return these features

This new app doesn’t allow background audio outside of the app anymore are used to use it for podcasts turn my screen off and listen you cannot longer do this that is a huge piss off. Also for some reason the video player for the Livestreams do not have a Fullscreen button in the video player for the regular videos doesn’t have a cast/airplay button it makes no sense that they’re different.

The new app looks beautiful and the video player is a dream, I won’t lie, but does this app ever take a nose dive in the UI/UX department. If you have any plus size iPhone this app is absolute hell, you have to press the back arrow to go back a menu, whereas most apps have you just swipe right from the left side of the screen for the same functionality.
In addition to this, the video player while more stable lost the feature of browsing other content while the video is playing. The youtube app is a good example of this function, and the Rooster Teeth app before this had this function. Reachability is now a requirement to use this app in any practical way and while I can’t say how well this app works on iPhone X, I can say that considering how miserable the UX is on the plus line of iPhones, I can’t imagine how the experience is on iPhone X.
Rooster Teeth, I say all this out of love, this app can be so much better and I want to see it improve. Please make it better for UI/UX.

I’m not entirely sure what’s going on with RT’s web department. I’ve been hearing complaints about the store and we all know the site as is just doesn’t live up to being part of a video subscription service. But the app has it’s problems too, from not being able to see or post comments, to not being able to like videos, and especially the lack of updates. Why was SP7’s feed added but the Creatures’ defunct feed with only 6 vids is still there? It’s not on the main site, so why is still on the app? And the store just seems broken to me, every time I open the menu to view the “My Account” options, it makes me sign in to my account, (even though you have to sign into a first account to even access this app, what?!). And then when I log in it brings me to a web browser version of the site, (still within the app) that I have to back out to get back to the store, and EVEN THEN you have to open the menu and tap “sign in” again, which reloads the page and allows you to see the account options. Oh, and the checkout hasn’t worked for at least a month. It just goes to a blank screen and refreshing does nothing. So yeah, I enjoy being able to watch content on my phone, but it still REALLY needs work.

The video interfacing is excellent. It orientates itself for fullscreen and the icons on the screen are easy to understand. Switching between content umbrellas is just a swipe.
Interacting is a lot tougher. When scrolling down in a video it links only to the store and a few related videos. Not "more in this series" nor a place to leave comments, like, or add to watch later. Would enjoy more interactive features that are available on the main website.
