►HOW IT WORKS◄
○ Adding things to OLIO is easy. Simply snap a photo of your item, add a brief description and provide pick-up details. A lovely neighbour will be delighted to take it off your hands.
○ Just browse what is available near you, request anything that takes your fancy and message to arrange a pick-up. It’s as easy as that.

Food items shared on OLIO include fresh homegrown veg from gardens, bread from local bakeries, and unwanted food when starting a diet, moving house or going on holiday. Other household items shared on OLIO include toiletries, cleaning products, clothes, furniture, toys and kitchen gadgets.

This app is phenomenal. I’ve been saving money by getting food for free – perfectly good food that would otherwise have gone to waste. It took me a while to wrap my head around the concept (because it sounds almost too good) but once you find your regular pickup places, it really is a great system.

Absolutely useless - the nearest items listed are over 200km away. The "you just missed it" items? The first one on my list is 7500km away. And then it tries to encourage you to "spread the word" so more people use it.
Does not even remotely provide the service that it claims - if you're trying to build a community, this isn't the way to do it. Uninstalled after five minutes.
