The Travel Smart app downloads information on your destinations for offline use so you can access important travel advice when and where you need it, even if there is no Wi-Fi or cellular access.
Driving to, or back from the U.S.? The app will locate the nearest key Canada–U.S. border crossings and will deliver continuously updated wait times so you can plan to get to your destination on time.

Here we are, in the middle of a pandemic, and I came across a suggestion on an airline’s website to download the Travel Smart app so I could keep up to date with travel requirements. On the app I could see a lot of negative reviews but I thought maybe they were old. Downloaded the app. Clicked open and it failed. Went to the icon on my phone and tried to open-it failed. Closed app and tried again-it failed. Have to agree this is a piece of tax payer funded crap. Thanks for nothing.

Tried opening app, just freezes for 6-7 seconds and goes right back to my home screen, tried deleting and reinstalling , same thing does not work- don’t even bother its a waste of time, I’m surprised with all negative reviews about app you’d think the developer would at least apologize and try to fix app or at least comment that they’re working on solution

I found if I start the app and go to home menu or another app while this one is loading, the crashing doesn’t seem to happen as often (iOS 12 - iPhone8)
Awesome general info on each country I’m looking to visit and work in. The embassy/consulate locator on the map works fine for me. Really handy to know where they all are in a country before going and that helps me plan my trip.

The app constantly freezes when you try to add new destinations. I erased it and reloaded it several times. I am a flight attendant and count on government updates for issues at foreign travel destinations and was looking forward to using and promoting this app. I’m surprised they launched it with so many bugs. I’m on an iPhone 7s (as are many flight attendants) and it’s working for nobody. Major missed opportunity. I would gladly promote a better product with colleagues and customers.

Like several reviews shared here, App does not work. No issue with download, but every attempt I made in selecting a country, App freezes, then crashes. Unable to add or save any country, rendering the App pretty much useless. Appears that this issue has been ongoing for more than a year. Gov of Canada - either fix it, or pull it out from the App Store.
