We haven’t needed the service thankfully but use of the app re tides etc is very convenient. it opens every time and having the LAT and LONG displayed right next to the highlighted emergency call button would be very useful! Thank you for creating this app.

we were just stranded on the ocean. When i called c-tow to use my admiral package he refused to tow us unless we paid him extra $ on top. We ended up having to call the coast guard. You should know they are scamming people in life threatening emergencies.

No tide data for Pacific coast

Cannot get any tide data for south west coast (Vancouver) area. App says “no data available, please check your connection” even when I’m online with a solid signal.
Also, app should keep you logged in or at least remember your login info so you don’t have to scramble to look it up in an emergency.
Except for those 2 things I’d give the app 4.5 stars.

C-TOW provides a truly great service along British Columbia’s Southern Coast. Even if never used its good to know membership dues help maintain resources that increase the backup and safety of small craft mariners 24/7. The APP is simple but extremely handy for members. Knowing your location it instantly defaults to showing marine weather and tides in your area. Its GPS and map/compass functions even provide rudimentary course/speed information in real time. One of it’s most important features is however not for your reference, but C-TOW’s. Logged in members with tracking enabled can be followed in real time on C-TOW screens. Excellent if not transmitting AIS and an augment if if so. Remember in reality it is tracking your device not boat. Be kind and close App when on land! 5 stars if/when it quits re-requesting login at every turn and when full member/vessel information is synced between it and web version.

Great little app. Love the extra features like weather update, tides and the cheat sheet with navigation lights and markers. Departure check list is a great idea. Well done.

We are very happy with the C-Tow app. It contains much of the content we'd have to search out on several other sites. Having weather, maps, tides and quick contact all together is what we were looking for. Of course the C-Tow membership is great peace of mind.
