Right away the first impression this album gave me was that it is very personal to Ed Sheeran. However, some songs are too slow which doesn't make them so enjoyable.
The usage of the guitar is great, but most songs feel incomplete with just a guitar playing. It doesn't fully support Ed's vocals (which are amazing)
The beginning of I See Fire is calming to listen to, especially if you're in the quiet. My favourite songs in the album are Runaway, Tenerife sea, Thinking Out Loud and Photograph. Overall, the album is great, but because of some songs being too slow and the guitar creating a bare bone feeling, it isn't amazing.
