Worth the wait
I played Prophecy At 1420 MHz on loop the day it was released and it never got tiring. I was concerned that the rest of the album couldn't live up to that one track, but my goodness, it really did. I woudl have a hard time picking a favourite track, but so far Age of Capricorn, Father and Son (the syncopated voice samples are just delicious) , Somewhere Right Now in the Future makes me think of The Moon and The Melodies collaboration between Harold Budd and the Cocteau Twins, You Retreat in Time and Space (which feels like you're listening to the soundtrack for a travelogue made in the late 1970's in the best possible way) - they're all so good, and yes, I lean towards the softer side of BOC in general, but this whole thing plays so well. Unpopular opinion - I didn't really like Tomorrow's Harvest but have everything else they've ever done in regular rotation, and i was cautiously hopeful that Inferno would be good....really really good....and I was not disappointed. Funny how fast 13 years can pass by.
