I first heard a piece from this album - Bach to Baïsso - on BBC Radio 3 Breakfast. Not having listened to the introduction, I thought, what beautiful harp playing. It then transitioned beautifully into kora music, followed by voice. I was entranced. I thought Petroc Trelawny and company had selected a perfect blend of different pieces, but no – it was the same Bach to Baïsso. The whole album represents this great fusion of two cultures, instruments and styles. Brilliant!
