Remembering one of the most popular musicians from Punjab

Rapper/singer Sidhu Moose Wala had his finger on the pulse of Punjabi pop. Teaming up with producers such as Byg Byrd, he served up album PBX 1 (2018), a heady mix of gangsta rap swagger, old-school skits and bhangra hooks. But the artist also possessed beautifully expressive vocals, propelling romantic tracks like “Aj kal Ve” from 2020 smash Snitches Get Stitches. Singing a heartfelt tribute to his mother, venturing into Punjabi soundtracks, or featuring in powerhouse collabs such as single “Bambiha Bole” with singer/actor Amrit Maan, Moose Wala had countless musical tricks up his sleeve.
